Dirty room even after it was cleaned.. some hotel staff was rude, about half of the staff we talked to. We asked for towels 3 times before they were brought. On oir last day we also needed towels and knowing it was checkoit time at noon they brought them at 1150.

The Richmond was a nice choice for our 2-night stay in Miami Beach. The decor was true to the original era of the hotel, and we found the room to be clean and adequate. If you are looking for 5-star accommodations, this is not your place. However, we found The Richmond to be as advertised. The pool was nice, clean, and quiet. The poolside restaurant was MUCH better than expected (by first glance), and we ended up having a couple meals right there. The location is perfect, as it is in walking distance of tons of bars, shopping, and restaurants. While I think I would be interested in trying out a different hotel on a future trip to Miami Beach, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at The Richmond again. Give it a try! For the right traveler, it is the perfect stop!

Nice inexpensive old hotel in a good location

Not a horrible place to stay if you are with a small group or couple looking for an inexpesive place in a great location. Its old and a little run down but cannot beat the price and location. Be aware that you only get beach vouchers for chairs not an unbrella. 15 bucks for the umbrella

Hotel directly on Collins but also on beach. Outdated however it is the “Art Deco” style that runs through out the south beach area. Rooms are small but enough for two people. Walls were super thin, and neighbors were super loud. Bathroom outdated also and not really appealing however it did it’s job. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Overall for the price the hotel was great. Had a decent pool and nice hot tub.

The room was ok. Do not expect anything fancy considering it is an old building. The only issue I had was that I was put in an adjacent room so it felt like the people in the room next door were in my room because the walls were so thin. The reason why I would rate this hotel highly is because of the staff. They switched our room at 12:30am within minutes. The staff was friendly and available to help us at any hour. It is very close to the beach, so it's a perfect location if you want to enjoy South Beach.
