Our car along with 4 others all got broken into. Passenger side windows smashed.. all money, gift cards, laptops (from other cards... still not sure why they left them in the car to begin with), etc were stolen. Luckily for us, it was just change in the console that got stolen, but had to drive home with window missing and pay $300 to replace it. We are in an "ok neighborhood", but since the cops said that this sort of thing happens "all the time" in the area. especially on Notre Dame Event Weekends, including other hotels, I would have liked to seen the hotel either (1) tell us about the potential problem to provide extra care for our stuff ahead of time, or (2) increase security via cameras, or something!?

We are in a generally very safe area, but unfortunately even though it is extremely rare situations like this happen.
