After booking via Expedia months ahead, and checking in via mobile from the Fairfield email hours before our arrival, when we arrived at midnight we were informed that there were no rooms. Our reservation was for a “ghost room” that didn’t actually exist.
This resulted in scrambling to find other accommodations and spending an extra $350 for rooms at other hotels for the weekend. The front desk attendant was very helpful, going above and beyond by contacting other hotels to find us a room for the night, which took some effort as there was a convention and high profile concert in town that weekend. Most everywhere was sold out.
I will never be using Expedia nor Fairfield hotels again.
