Nice room but!!

Posted Apr 14, 2017
We asked to be in a quiet room away from others and they put us right across the hall from the conference room. By 8 am there were a lot of loud people outside our door disturbing us as they waited for their meeting to start.

Nice for golfers

Posted Apr 6, 2017
Pros: The beauty inside and out. I loved all the quotes on the wall.
Cons: Heating & Cooling unit and warmer greetings from staff.
Upon arrival the room was freezing cold and hard to adjust the heat. Coffee pot made one cup and stopped working. It was replaced. Staff efficient but not so warm and friendly. The cost was high for just staying for a wedding. Not using pool, gym, sauna or golfing. When checking out I asked about my discount for the wedding I was told because I booked through Expedia I could get no discount. I feel like I should have been told in advance. She said it's only about 10.00 so that's not so bad. ?

Classy Stay in the County Atmosphere

Our stay was during "off" season-February, so not as busy. Great hours for indoor swimming 7-11, nice exercise room, long breakfast hours. Nice restaurant.

Nice property - customer service...not so much

Posted Feb 7, 2017
Nice property. Outside surroundings when it's not so cold would be beautiful to enjoy. Rooms are nice, clean. Pool and work out area is nice. Not enough easily accessible electrical outlets for my 2 teenagers and I for our gadgets. No mini fridge or microwave to use after you eat in the restaurant and want to eat late night left overs (remember- 2 teenagers!). Complimentary breakfast was okay. Biggest disappointment was first impression at check-in. The young lady at the front desk seemed bothered that we were checking in. No hello, no thank you, no do you have any questions. Even my daughter thought it was a rude welcoming. During our entire stay not one member of the staff was very accommodating or seemed very happy. And when I say accommodating, my kids and I didn't ask for anything, other than directions to the restaurant - for which we received a finger point and a "that way". I'm a firm believer that if I'm going to spend my money on product or services offered, a business should do its best to be appreciative.

Teri, The very first impression our guests make of their stay was how they were greeted at check-in. I am very disappointed in your check-in experience, which is totally out of character of our front desk staff. Regard less, I apologize. We hope to soon have mini fridges in all of our rooms - you are right in that we need them. We are appreciative of your business and I am sorry you felt otherwise. I am hoping you try us again - your poor experience won't be repeated.

Decent Hotel, Nice Views

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: Staff were friendly and room was clean. Breakfast was very nice.
Cons: Please see "experience" section.
Location: We did not inquire into local activities.
The online photos and written description of Swan Lake give the impression of a pretty posh place to stay. However, the parts of the hotel that truly impress are the public rooms. The resort clearly aims to attract conferences and other group events, so the emphasis on public appearances makes sense. My husband and I, on the other hand, stayed at Swan Lake because we were in the area to visit family. We found the room less than completely comfortable. First, there was only one chair, which meant that one of us could sit and read or watch tv, and the other had to sit on one of the beds. Also, there are NO hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels and the shower enclosure lacks shelves for shampoo, soap, etc. Also, we would have liked a mini frig to keep our white wine cold. Finally, the chest of drawers in our room (124) was shabby, with deep scratches in the surface - not a piece of furniture that should be in an upscale hotel. To be fair, the staff were pleasant and competent and our room was kept clean and in good order.

Bonnie, Since your visit and comments following, hooks have been added to the bathroom - thanks for making us aware they were needed. Mini fridges in all of our rooms is at the top our our 2017 to-do list and we will continue to make other improvements to our rooms. I hope you come stay again.

Took 3 hours for our room keys to be made, being placed in the room where heavy machines blocked the entire window while there were sufficient empty rooms.

Guilty as charged on the room key issue as the machine failed us (and you) for several hours. It is now fully operable. The air conditioning unit outside your window does indeed block your view - I wish you had let the front desk know it bothered you as we would have moved you to a different room. I'm sorry all this upset you.
