A very disappointing experience will not be return

Pros: A nice Restaurant with a reasonable menu with floor to ceiling windows but no blinds to keep out the hot sun at breakfast time.
Cons: Outside the entrance the motel is very grubby the restaurant windows are filthy the worst I have ever seen in the sunny mornings they can do better.
Location: Easy to find and easy to drive to Canberra attractions
We expected a nice Ibis Motel, its renovated on the outside and some parts of the rooms, other than that its very tired, hallways and doors etc need painting lots and lots of damage. It would be nice if somebody there knew how to use a vacuum cleaner in the hall ways and stairs its grubby ! Had sharp metal objects holding the shower glass in located on the floor "ouch" plus a large step up to go into the bathroom from the carpet - watch out for the metal angle strip there. Outside the grounds and building are extremely tired much paint damage on plumbing down pipes and doors etc, bricks missing off brick decorations or pillars laying on pavement. This is a very large motel but has insufficient parking to be near your room - park far out the back if you come late - some parked out the front under the trees. Unfortunately this Ibis does not meet the standards of our previous stays at Ibis Hotels

Don't, unless you're on a bus tour

Pros: nothing much
Cons: everything pretty much but its an old '70'S building so don't hold your breath
Location: in the south eastern 'burbs of Canberra.
Thinnest walls, loudest banging doors, echoes EVERYWHERE. Don't, unless its included in your bus tour.

Great choice but needs new curtains!

Great staff, good facilities and really excellent included breakfast. A very nice experience overal except for a huge flaw - my room only had a thin lace curtain that you could easily see through. I was worried about my privacy because it seemed like almost the entire room could be seen through the curtain from the outside, and there were buildings only a couple of metres away next door

The toilet paper holder was broken and came down on your hand every time you went for paper the first thing we saw when we walked into the room was a broken bent screen it looked like someone had tried to break in we were so tired we got a pizza from the restaurant which was a pathetic excuse for a pizza you had to search for toppings and when you found them they were so small and thin you couldn't even taste it

Amenities were fantastic, especially the smart TV. Issue with lack of parking when arriving back from a function and buses parking in incorrect areas. Security was fantastic, were little risk of being disturbed by any trouble makers.

On the first night of my stay I had to wait for 40 minutes for Secuirty to let me in as my key would not work. Second night key did not work again. I would love to speak to a manager but they don't work weekends

Stylish comfort with friendly staff

Affordable yet stylish, we enjoyed our 2-night stay - made all the more enjoyable by friendly, efficient staff. We were in Canberra for Aboriginal cultural reasons, and I applaud the hotel management for displaying the hand-crafted Acknowledgement of Country in the lobby, as well as the Aboriginal, and Torre Strait Islander flags. These aspects of Indigenous culture made us feel more at home. Congratulations to the staff responsible. Displaying authentic Indigenous art at your property would also be a great initiative. Thank you.

Pleasant staff

Pros: The rooms were clean and the staff went out of the way to accommodate any enquiries
Cons: If anything at all may be softer pillows other than that nothing. Was a great place and price
Location: I went to the Canberra outlets which was close by as was a business trip didn't get to much sight seeing in.karen
I recently stayed at this hotel and the staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast and all the staff were wonderful, and smiling which was great. Room was very clean and was a great place to stay
