Really great spacious room overlooking the Lake. Despite a firm handle on English, the staff strived very hard to meet all my needs. Good food options like in the Lakeside Cafe and cool outlook overlooking the Lake! Was a shame that some facilities were closed like the pool, but a good value stay nonetheless!

The property is very nice the front desk staff is not the friendliest and maybe because there was a language barrier we had issues with the check in. However they offered room service and they understood well and the hotel is very pretty and clean only issues we had was there seemed to be low pressure when using the cold water. Overall good stay with minor issues.

This hotel is very nice, the staff had limited english (only the manager could speak english), but the staff did fix any problem that came up. During the winter, air conditioning is not available (only heating). The hotel is very close to a large park. The room was very large, very nice, and had a great view of the park (ask for a view of the park). The area is very safe and close to restaurants, massage stores, and many other things. You will need to take a taxi to go to the subway. Tours are available at the concierge desk. The restaurant at the top of the hotel is very nice (free brunch included). There is a pool, spa, and gym available as well. I would highly recommend this hotel, but ask for a room in the large building.

Pros- view of the lake, free drinking water. Cons- rooms designed for solo travellers, so only one seat. Rooms are not soundproofed and curtains aren’t black out so not great if you are a light sleeper. Air conditioning controlled by reception and can’t be changed. It was so hot and stuffy, very uncomfortable. Broken hooks in the bathroom so towels have to go on the floor or hang on back of the one seat! The maid doesn’t clean the room, just makes the bed. E.g. One bin wasn’t emptied for three days. Location is not convenient as far from subway and tours won’t collect from boundary of 2nd ring. The pool had gross towels down around floor to stop slipping. The breakfast is extortionate compared to other restaurants in the area and overall the staff don’t seem to want to deal with westerners. This is not a convenient hotel and is primed for Chinese business men. It is definitely not 5 stars. If you are a tourist, I’d recommend staying closer to the Forbidden City, and within the 2nd ring boundary. Don’t be fooled by photos. It’s not worth it.

Ok but not quite what it used to be. Bathroom mold
nice hotel but a bit worn I would say. Amazing view. Fantastic beds and pillows. Bathroom mold always. I go here 4 times a year for 10 years. Dont speak great english. Breskfast buffet pretty good for westerners. Not the best of the best but the best in the area. Close to Panjiayuan antique market. Beautiful park across the street.

gone downhill. lots of mold in the bathroom always
made me pay 300 extra to switch rooms and gave me an identical room????? bathroom had lots of mold in the shower in both rooms. I stay here 4xs a year for 8 years. Has gone downhill. Service is minimal. Didnt expect to get charged to stay in the same room

Everything was perfect on this hotel, location, food, amenities services and most helpful staff. Hotel is clean all the time , breakfast buffet is great with a variety of food, room is bigger and very comfortable. Close to tourist attractions 10 minutes by car, we recommend use Didi ( uber) and use the premier services its the best and very affordable.. hotel its your best choice!'

The bed, shower and bath tub are amazing, and you can't beat the price. Views of Longtan park and the river were amazing, even in the winter. Be prepared to use your translator, none of the staff speak english. And don't eat at the hotel, it's really subpar. Good location and not too far from the central sights. Taxi will cost about 15-20 yuan for anywhere you want to go, 30 yuan from the beijingnan train station. Even though it has ac/heater, the staff sets one temp for all rooms and your choice is to either have the air on or off. So we were way too hot.

For this price range, this place is absolutely exceptional for a Beijing hotel. The only drawback is its location, which is still very good but not within walking distance from the Forbidden City and etc. However, if you are closer, you will likely pay a lot more or suffer in condition or service.

Would not stay at hotel agin The kitchen staff is disgusting spitting on the floor and coffing over your food The pool is dangerous marble floors you could slip and fall. Beijing is a city just to do business And leave It's not a vacation spot for family Is a lot of perverts in Beijing looking at little kids So I recommend you not to stay in Beijing They take pictures of you without your permission.dont listen to youtube they hide alot of Stuff from you You don't have to worry about pickpocketing credit card scammers .don't not make a vk spot.

I stayed here to visit family that lives nearby, otherwise, if I were a western tourist I might choose another hotel closer to the major tourist attractions or the subway, which is a schlepp to get to. However, the hotel was fine. The room spacious and comfortable, with a big bathroom and usual amenities. It is true that English is not spoken well here, and I was lucky that I had family to translate, but I did manage to use the pool (and buy s required cap) and order ice without help. I did not eat in the hotel, but there are several restaurants, groceries and a bakery a short walk away. I took a lovely walk in Longtan Park, just across the river from the hotel. It certainly was worth the price

Great hotel in good location
There was a least 1 English speaking staff on reception most of the time, which was wonderful. Easy check in and check out. All areas of the hotel were clean and pleasant and my room was light and spacious with a beautiful view of the park and lake. Excellent service throughout my 1 week stay in Beijing.

This was great. Seemed like a conference hotel, but it was nice. Really nice bed and very spacious room. The lake view wasn't very impressive though. Maybe cause I wasn't very high on the hotel. Nice stay, wish I could have been there longer then I was

This hotel is beautiful and the room had a nice view of the lake. Staff was not friendly and they did not speak English. The room did not have electricity and warm water when I got there. It needed a second key card to activate that, but the front desk clerk only gave me one. The shower stall leaked a lot of water at the caulking and flooded the floor. I had to soak it up with the towels intended for my use. The vibe was that they did not necessarily welcome or even want westerners at the hotel. It was very different that my stay at another hotel in Beijing, which was very foreigner friendly.

Don't bother with this hotel!
Staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Took a day and a half and several 'debates' to get the air con fixed. Then wanted to charge me for a number of items in the room that the maid couldn't find yet they were present from a towel to a coffee spoon. Completely ridiculous!

It is a nice hotel. All rooms truly have the lake view! The hotel lobby is connected to the entrance of an office building. During my stay, all guests are domestic Chinese.

Lovely stays
I gave 5 out of 5 for everything. The hotel is between the 2nd circle and 3rd circle of Beijing city centre. It's better if you've done most of the spots in the 1st and 2nd circle and are more after some tranquility. It takes around 15 mins of walks from the hotel to the subway.

Beautiful hotel but poor English
The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable : nice facilities, big rooms, good food. But the English level of staff is quite poor and makes the global experience a bit disappointing for a 5-stars hotel. I got trouble to get room service properly (cannot order some items), electric adapter (never got it), taxi booking (was not booked by the staff).

I have stayed here many many times because of its location. The view is really amazing ovelooking the lake and park and city. As usual it is overlu opulant for western tastes, bordering on tacky howver it is the best hotel in that area and I have tried them all. really really bad western food, overpriced and everything was wrong. Ordered beer, got pizza. Ordered hamburger. arrived with no meat. They ran out! lol bun n lettuce!

It is a good and comfortable hotel. The front desk was very helpful.... However, It isn't very good location in Beijing and the carpets in the room are quite dirty and old. Otherwise it is great choice to stay.

Worst hotel ever!!
I usually too lazy to submit a review, but this hotel is the worst hotel I had stay, Hotel is definitely not 5 star, there are no resting area in the lobby, you can only stand and wait for your friend to be ready, the shower need to be fax, carpet close to the bathroom is full of mold... really disgusting.
