When in a pinch, Don't rely on a helpful staff

Pros: The wait and kitchen staff. The proximity to surf.
Cons: The front desk staff.
Location: Sayulita, surfing.
Aside from not have water for an entire day (explained in a note the next day) with no shower, toilet or sink functioning, the hotel front desk staff disappointed me beyond description. My backpack was left in a taxi with my passport, wallet, credit cards, money, cell phone, everything. I was left standing at the airport helpless. the counter staff at #alaskaairlines was tremendous in aiding me. They called the hotel's front desk multiple times in an attempt to ascertain what cab I was on and to locate the driver in hopes of returning my belongings to me. When you leave the hotel your room number and the taxi number and driver are logged at the front gate. It is a simple matter of calling the gate, obtaining the driver info and calling the taxi company. It took the front dest 4 phone calls and over an hour to get around to making this simple inquiry. I was indeed, finally reunited with my backpack with all its contents in order, but not before missing my flight home and suffering through one of the most stressful days of my life. I have stayed at the Grand Palladium some 20 or so times in the last 2 1/2 years. Many of the staffers know me well. I'm very disappointed that under duress, the front dest staff exercised what appears to be complete indifference.

I have read attentively your comments and I would like to clarify some of them: I would like to apologize for the experience that you had with our front desk staff. they should have been more helpful and quickly with your situation but we need to check everything before to said anything regards them. I do not know exactly why take so long time to have the information before to give you a proper answer but I can assure you I will talk with them in order to have all the information and take measures to avoid any other situation like this. Big thanks to Joel & Lorena at the front desk. Ramon at the Italian Restauruant and our housekeeper Rosario. They constantly checked on our wellbeing!

So many kids

A nice resort. Could use a little updating but so many kids. Good for families but not as great for couples.

Lovely accommodations and grounds near the beach.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable (pillows could be a bit better).
Cons: The food was erratic. Sometimes very good, and sometimes not very good (even at the same restaurant ordering the same food).
Location: We were only there a couple of days so we simply stayed on the grounds and at the beach.
My husband and I stayed here, along with two other couples in the middle of April. The resort is lovely, off the beaten track and the grounds are quite spectacular and jungle-like.

We didn't even stay at the hotel. It was so bad!!!

Cons: Everything needs to improve at the Grand Palladium Resort
We checked in and checked out within hours. The hotel is a mislead from what you see on the pictures. It's run down and old. To get to your rooms you have to do some walking and up a hill so it's worst. There is no elevators only stairs. I feel bad for the employees. I'm so surprise that the corporation won't bring that hotel up to speed like all the others. Thanks to Jason from Expedia that he did everything to make sure that we where happy, he found another resort for us and worked out the fees into the transfer. I am so thankful to Jason from customer service, he was so helpful and stayed on the phone with me until I had all I needed to check in at the other resort. I just don't understand what other people see when they review this resort, from the minute I checked in it was a disappointment as we walked to get to our rooms we were shock to see the rooms were bad. I don't blame the employees as they did everything to make it comfortable for us, but it's not them it's the resort. But Thanks to Jason he made our vacation wonderful. (Jason if you get this, sorry I lost your employee ID#). Hopefully this gets to you..... THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!!

As you said, you didn´t even stay in our hotel so, it is difficult to you specify what aspect or aspects of our hotel were below standards. You get what you pay for....

Pros: The price.
Location: There isn't much to do around the hotel and it is far from the airport as well as other excursions. Subsequently, you will be paying a lot for taxis.
The hotel was overall just ok. I'm used to 4 and 5 star hotels so in comparison, I was not impressed. However, it was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The hotel seems to be a better fit for families and couples. Apparently the resort is built on some sort of hill so everything requires steps and/or an uphill ramp to get to destinations. It's definitely not a good fit for those using a wheelchair or may have any other physical disability which hinders mobility.

I am sorry if your stay did not meet your expectations About the location of the hotel let me inform you that we inform in all brochures the situation and the distance with Puerto Vallarta. Nevertheless we are really close from Bucerias or Punta de Mita or even Sayulita, that there are typical and painteresque Mexican towns that the majority of our guest enjoying visiting. I am really sorry if you did not see that information before arriving. We have all the information (no elevators, distance from towns...) in our web page and always send the information to the tour operators who work with us. Nevertheless I appreciate the time you took writing your opinion here and thank you again for any information or comments that can help us be a better hotel. best regards

Lo q se ofrece o se vende de este hotel es calidad y para nada está cerca, los alimentos son pésimos ya q siempre tienen lo mismo, en los restaurantes no tienen los alimentos q vienen en las cartas solo algunos de ellos, las habitaciones: colchones, sábanas y toallas viejas y desgastadas, áreas comunes mal olor y pésimo mantenimiento, por la calidad de la página deberían de investigar lo q ofrecen ya q solo es una mala imagen para ustedes

Great location right on the beach in Punta Mita.

Pros: The grounds and beach are fantastic. Even the little zoo is a favorite stopping place.
Cons: I'd like to see this hotel on the Expedia VIP list of choices. Hotel shuttles from the airport would be a nice addition.
Location: 10 minutes for Sayulita, 40 minutes from Puerto Vallarta
I come here alone or with my wife 5 to 6 times a year. It's the only place I'll stay while in Punta Mita.

Just nice.

Hotel is a hike from airport. About 3 different pool areas, which are all very nice. Great ocean beach as well! Wasn't impressed with the hotel room, bathroom looked worn out & wasn't the cleanest. May have just gotten the bad room. All staff very friendly.
