We only stayed 1 night. It was pleasant enough for the price even though there is an extra charge for Air Con. But overall it was clean so no complaints.
Proper small town Mexico with cobbled streets and a bit of a surfers town. Plenty of places to eat and drink and a nice enough beach.
A point to note google maps is slightly wrong as its further up the road and a bit difficult to find....as you look st the map it is more to the left. Just off the main square.

What a treat! Loved this place! We stayed in two rooms here and both were clean and comfortable. The architecture is unique and the garden is gorgeous. It's right on the beach with on site massage! Noisy at night due to close by night clubs, but quiet by midnight. Can't wait to come back!!

My husband and I went for a week in February and we loved it! We ate and drank and played in the waves - perfect trip! Our tips would be: Bring pesos for the cab ride from the airport because that's where we got wicked taken advantage of. What could have been about $40 American in pesos ended up being $85 because we only had dollars. Lesson learned! If you want better booze in your drink, just ask for it. Go on the whale watching trip from the beach (Dressel Divers) if you're there during that time. We saw 9 whales!

This hotel is lovely! The location is excellent, only 15 min. from the airport. Felt very secure there, and the food was excellent. The rooms are small, but adequate. The beach is very very nice. Overall, no complaints.

WE are a family f four, mom, dad and 6 and 8 year olds; my 82 year old mom stayed with us half the trip. The hotel is just the right size. We wanted very easy and close beach access and a big pool. You do not need to go through a hotel lobby to access beach and pool which is key for us. The hotel is 4 1/2 star luxury. The food was fabulous, we did not do the ll inclusive but paid as we went, the food is very very affordable and there are 3 good restaurants plus a deli convenience store.
To get discounts off all food and convenience store as well as some other goodies (credits, trips, massage) etc. you need to do the 2 hour time share presentation. It is worth doing. You can say no and exit the end, the pressure was much less than other time share presentaions we have been to. fyi we bought a time share, it is points based which we like. most of my mentors have bought time shares, it seems to be a good $

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Boutique. This place is on the opposite side of the Paradise Village marina and is more complimentary to an authentic "Mexican" experience. There are several wonderful restaurants nearby including a brand new Italian one right in the hotel. If you want to visit the "gringo" side for Starbucks etc, you can take an easy water taxi (before 5pm) across to the other marina. The staff at the hotel were very accommodating and speak English. A close walk to the taxi and bus stands to get you into town. I would have liked to have seen a strongbox in the room for valuables though and I think they're working on getting them. All in all, we had a perfect experience.

Feb. 2017-- Check in & check out went smoothly; friendly staff; grocery store 5 minute walk; hospital & pharmacy 2 blocks, bus, taxis & restaurants nearby; The best part-- Marina was so pretty with water taxi to another area with restaurants & massage/spa beside Portobello restaurant; went walking northward every morning as did many others. Large beach
area with palapas. Nice long lane pool--quiet area behind tennis courts; this pool doesn't warm up much though.
Perhaps handing out a guide explaining where not to choose a palapa on the beach because certain areas are reserved for time share owners-- as are the first 3 rows; signs are few & far between!
Wondered why some people brought their children to the adult pool!! There are signs designating 'adult' pool.
Was there before school break.
