The exterior is very quaint. The interior had many instances of deferred maintenance. April IS NOT the time to visit South Fork. Everything is closed. There was no place to eat. The Lodge offered a Continental Breakfast, but advertised a regular Breakfast Menu that was mouth watering and available from 7:30 am. The owner said she would fix us breakfast the next day. At 9 am the door was locked and no one was around. At 10 am the owner appeared and said their grill wouldn't stay lit. So, no breakfast! All the restaurants in town were closed except a Mexican place, which was very good. When we first arrived, the keys to the available rooms were on the front door. We checked out three. In one the TV was not connected and the heat was very noisy. The next, only a 3 inch square was open on the heat vent. the third one was better, the TV worked. The heat worked well, but there were many instance of disrepair. We made reservations for 3 nights and when we couldn't find any place to eat we left after noon the next day. They charged us for three nights.
