You can make someone’s stay with a better staff

I stayed here for 7 nights the maid that cleaned my room was very nice, wish I would have gotten her name!! She was the only one that made my stay great... wish I could say the same about the front desk agents, asked for a roll away bed didn’t have any I asked 2 or 3 days in a row and same response, the jacuzzi jets didn’t work the response was I already told the lady they didn’t work, i tried calling the front desk for HOURS when I was out in a meeting when I finally got to the hotel to ask why they don’t answer and the response was I had the phone on mute...

Very comfortable, easy access to public transport

Pros: It was very well equipped.
Cons: I had to renew my key card two times in a row, never understood what really happened but the staff helped quickly and without problems.
Location: It has easy access to public transportation, you can take the bus to different directions right in the corner then move very easy around the city.
It was very nice, the staff also speaks Spanish so for those who only speaks this language is very convenient. The room was very clean and comfortable and full equipped, fridge, micro wave, water bottles, drier, television, etc. It has an ice machine too which is very nice.

exterminator

Pros: lots of shopping near by, wifi was great, free parking
Cons: needs serious extermination of the property
Location: Target, Walmart, Ross, Marshall's, movie theater and supermarket near by
The hotel has roaches. I placed a sandwich on a plate on the desk for a few minutes and when I went to grab the sandwich a roach was on it. I saw a roach crawling on the bathroom floor as well. Days Inn South Gate needs to do some serious extermination of the property. To be clear I lived at my home for years and i never had roaches so I did not bring the roaches there. I think the place is infested. Otherwise, the location is in a convenient location that's easy to get to downtown and the airport without jumping on the freeway. The rooms are spacious, free wifi worked great and the room WAS clean. I draw the line with any kind of bug infestation though!

Pros: It's in a neutral location to downtown LA and Pasadena and I like there is convenient shopping at Target, Ross, Marshall's, restaurants etc near by.
Cons: Days Inn Southgate needs to do a better job with up kept of the property. Roaches just draw the line!
Location: Target, Marshalls, Ross, and plenty casual restaurants to choose from.
The room was spacious and the furniture was in better condition than it was when I stayed there last year. This will be the last year I will stay at that hotel because there were roaches in my room. I had a sandwich and left it on the desk on a plate for a few minutes and when I went to pickup the sandwich a roach was on it. I also saw a roach crawling on the bathroom floor. I was stressed during my stay because I worried the roaches would get in my belongings because I assure you I don't have roaches in my home. I kept my luggage on the luggage rack. I reported the roaches to the front desk. They need a weekly extermination at the Days Inn Southgate.

Simple and sufficient

Cheap, clean, good bed, 30 minutes from the most visited places (Hollywood sign, walk of fame, observatory, etc)

Terrible motel

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Demolition
Location: Unsafe neighborhoods
Afer checkiing in,, the room was horrible, cancelled went to another hotel. The owner refused to refund. Lost $53 dollar. Expedia should take this motel off the web.

Not luxury

This hotel was located outside of LA. Perfect location for my boyfriend and I but when we got to the room, there was hair everywhere. It just felt dirty. The seats all had stains on them. This place needs some major updates. If your looking for a place to just sleep at and you aren't needy, this may be the place for you. Really nice working class neighborhood. Lots of Hispanic culture and diversity.
