Long distance birthday surprise

Cons: Inside pool
Location: In the middle of the country 2 hr drive to Chesapeake
Went there for best friend birthday. Hung out for a couple days remembering our Navy days

My family enjoyed the hotel They liked too much the brefast. They felt very comfortable. Also they said that the hotel looks beautiful

Best Western - South Hill

Check in water slow as computer was very slow. The room was nice until I had to pull the bed away from the wall to use the plug. The floor was full of dust and debrie. The badboards full of dust. It hadn't been cleaned in several years. That was upsetting. I checked for be bugs and there were none. The sheets were white w/ out stains and it was comfortable.

Pros: nice pool.
Cons: no estra luggage racks in the entire hotel, Somebody is being stupid.
Location: Lake gaston is nice. 2 screen movie theater next door. Brian's restaurant is nice.
Placed in a handicapped room. No extra folding luggage racks, no counter tops or tables in bathroom. Bed sagged, refrigerator not defrosted for months.

I do apologize for the experience you encountered while staying with us. If an extra luggage rack was needed we would have been glad to accomodate you. We could have moved you to another room if you were unhappy with the handicaped room you received. Once again I do apologize.

Nonsmoking room smells like a cigarette

Great staff- warm, friendly. But nonsmoking room smelled like a cigarette. Took a big gulp of sour milk at breakfast.

Check in was great, it was fast and the staff was friendly. The room on the other hand was terrible. There were cigarette burn marks in the beds and the smell of smoke was so bad it gave my fiancé and I a terrible headache.

Dirty hotel

Days inn cancelled a room. We were supposed to have three for guests for our wedding. We didn't get a refund.

Old but updated.

This is an older hotel that I first stayed in 30 years ago. It has been updated with new furnishings including bath tile and counters. Everything is clean and functional. Bed was comfortable. AC worked great. Best value in the area.
