Beautiful in every sense of the word

Posted Jan 17, 2018
Pros: Cleanliness, food, staff, location right at the clean beach.
Cons: Excellent all round. Others complain about the time share people and they were in evidence but not a single one approached us in the entire 8 days.
Location: A short ride to Downtown - a walk area along the beach - the tourists flock to it. Nice shops and people. great place to watch the pelicans diving.
Possibly one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Cleanliness was great- especially the rooms. Pool area was cleaned every night. Restaurants - mostly we ate at the buffet which had great food, variety, presentation and attentive and friendly service. The baker does an excellent job of the varied breads and desserts. He deserves a bonus!. Staff was ever so kind. The stocked mini fridge (inclusive) was a great convenience Location is good, just a short 90 peso or less ride to downtown. Hope to return.

Dear guest: thank you so much for your feedback, this is really important for us! listening to our guests is the only way that we can really improve. We are sorry the check-in process was slow and moving on, we will work towards giving priority to families with kids. Maintenance works sometimes may be unavoidable (things will break at some point), hopefully it did not went for too long. Again, thank you for your comments and we hope to improve for your next visit.

Excellent facilities and in a great location

Posted Jan 9, 2018
Pros: Food staff and looks were all great.
Cons: The only issue was the door to adjoining room was thin and the neighbours would be playing beer pong all night and the idiot noise was excruciating.
Location: Right between the town and the Marina, great location.
Great food and pool facilities and beach was nice and calm. Spa was pricey but we did the seminar and got a discount and the massage was great.

Dear Woody, thank you so much for your comments. It is a shame that having loud neighbourds interfere on your vacation time. We will make sure this comment is taken seriously and hopefully we can avoid other guests having the same situation that you encountered during your stay.

Nice hotel but on the smaller side...

Posted Dec 29, 2017
This was our first time in Puerto Vallarta but not our first NOW property. The hotel was nice, but very small. The beach is extremely rocky so you can’t really swim unless you have water shoes. Vendors are allowed to come up to you on the beach. They basically just camp out right in front of you. They leave you alone if you say “No gracias” but then here comes another one. REALLY ANNOYING. The hotel entertainment staff is pretty boring. On Fridays they do a foam party in the pool for an hour with a DJ... that’s pretty much the highlight. There is no music playing at any of the pools throughout the day which was surprising. After the show at night there may be a live singer in the lobby, but once that ends, it’s dead. There is no nightclub onsite. the a la carts restaurants had good food but long wait times. The buffet seemed really limited. Not a ton of variety. Overall, the property is nice for families with small kids. Not so much for younger people or couples.

Beautiful hotel but not great food.

Posted Dec 24, 2017
Pros: Hotel itself is beautiful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We had an ocean view on the 11th floor. Privileged site has rooms that are more expensive but not that great of view. Kids club is great. Reasonable hours, helpful staff and spacious... they provide you with a pager too which works even in the Secrets side, which is adjacent to Now Amber for adults only. We were told it wasn’t going to work but we received the page while dinning in the French restaurant in the Secrets side. Cafe at the lobby level has good eateries... pastries, coffee, sandwiches... tastier than their restaurant food. Good shows every night. Good pools though adults (bar pool) is kept warm while kids pool is not. It rained and got a little cold when we were there and everyone gathered at the bar side pool with kids. Leading you to cons ;) Cons: Food is mediocre (compared to other all inclusives and cruises that my wife and I have been to). Most restaurants have wait times that could be as high as 45 minutes at times. Restaurant service could be extremely slow... Drinks are watered down... soda didn’t taste like soda... tasted as if it had been left open for hours. Hotel’s beach is not the greatest. Might be the same all over Puerto Vallarta... a bit rocky and water is not that clear. Front desk staff didn’t have much info about the hotel (i.e. restaurants, restrictions, kids club...) go to concierge for questions. Will we go again? Probably not.

Dear Mr. "Oz": thank you for your feedback, this is really important in order for us to keep improving! we are sorry that you encountered the food not at the same level of other services like cleaning, kids club and such. We recently updated all the menus at our restaurants and made some changes on food & beverage managing staff. Shall you decide to visit us again, you will find it different than last time! once more, thank you so much.

Nice hotel with ocean view and close to beach

Posted Oct 23, 2017
Pros: Lots of entertainment in the evening. Good selection of restaurants.
Cons: Water pressure in shower is way too low. Air condition is off when balcony door is opened. Door gets out of shape, AC got turned off when shouldn't.
Location: Massage parlors close by hotel.
Room has great view, 24 hours coffee shop offering coffee and snacks. Good restaurant options, plenty of entertainment in evenings. However, water pressure in shower is way too low.

Beautiful location; very friendly staff

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: I loved the friendliness of the staff, the variety of food and drink choices, and the nightly shows.
Cons: Reduce noise level inside the rooms, offer designated smoking areas so children don't have to be exposed, restrict smoking in dining areas
Location: Nice location on the beach. Possible to walk to downtown on the beach. Check out Vallarta Adventures for great outings.
This resort is right on the beach. All the rooms face the beach, although the ones on the lower 2 levels are too low to have a beach view. They do, however, have a lovely view of the gardens and pool, and those on the first floor have a private pool. The resort package includes unlimited food and drinks. They have a great variety of cuisines, and the staff is attentive and polite. The nightly entertainment was spectacular. However, there are few things that could stand improvement: Because of the hotel's design, the music from the night club can be heard in every room, and sometimes it was a bit loud. Fortunately, it ended around 11 pm most nights. Also, every time someone in a neighboring room shut their door, it would slam loudly, and our room would shake. More importantly, the hotel does not have enough restrictions on smoking. There are children everywhere, and every pack of cigarettes sold in Mexico comes with a warning: "Smoking kills you and those around you," but the hotel allows smoking almost everywhere except in the rooms and elevators. We were having dinner a couple of times in the outdoor area because kids are not allowed inside some of the restaurants, and there are ashtrays right next to the eating areas, so people smoked right next to the children's dining areas. That would be unacceptable in California. People were allowed to smoke in the pools and lobby, too. There should be designated smoking and non-smoking outdoor areas to accommodate all guests.
