Best hotel in Puerto Vallarta

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Pros: Everything!!!
Cons: I did not find anything wrong with this hotel it was fantastic.
Location: Excellent location walking distance from the shops, downtown where all the festivities were held and fine dining.
My husband and I were celebrating our 35th Anniversary and staying at the Villa Premiere made it very special they even surprised us with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberry's to celebrate our Anniversary. The staff and hotel were amazing we loved every minute of our stay. The food was outstanding and the presentation was superb. We loved the pool and swim up bar and the beach was steps away what an amazing hotel. The location was walking distance to the city center, wonderful shops and fine dining. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a classy upscale hotel. The room and the beds were so clean and comfortable. Thank you for the best vacation yet.

Lovely small adult only hotel on the beach!

Posted Sep 17, 2017
Pros: Each room had a balcony with a couple of chairs and a table that had a view of the beach and ocean. Shear curtains over blackout drapes.
Cons: Not asking for an hour and a half for a presentation. Which we were told was not a "timeshare". We declined but were offered it almost daily.
Location: A block down from old Puerto Vallarta and a pleasant walk to the long boardwalk area to see outdoor pieces of art (no cars were allowed).
When checking in you were given a brochure with a sleep pillow list for you to select the type of pillow you prefer...also a fragrance list so you could select a fragrance for your room. You were offered a glass of champagne and a neck & shoulder massage! We were very impressed with the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff.

Awesome hotel at a great location

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: no kids, great sunset, super friendly staff, great food and drinks. Swim up bar right in front of the ocean
Cons: The beach is not the nicest and cleanest one. Also a bit rocky if you walk into the ocean.
Location: Best location. Everything right in front and walking distance. If you get the chance try Barcelona Tapas Restaurant nearby.
Had a great stay in PV. The hotel is amazing. Great food, great service, super friendly staff. They even sent us some stuff by mail which we forgot in the room. We did three nights without all inclusive and one night with all inclusive, as we also like exploring the city and other restaurants at night. We stayed at a Deluxe Oceanfront room with Jacuzzi. The room was perfect and clean, the bed very comfy. If you like to relax - this is your place...

Birthday Getaway

Posted Sep 4, 2017
All I have to say is when I come back to Puerto Vallarta I will defiantly be staying at Villa Premiere. The Hotel hospitality was superb. The hotel employees were very friendly and quick to help. The room was presentable and clean we like the fact that all the rooms have a beach view so your not left out from enjoying the gorgeous sunset. The Hotels location is a bit of a walk from the malecon but nothing too crazy. The only downside I had during my stay was the beach was filled with rocks and was very uncomfortable once inside due to the heavy rainfall.

Nice stay

Great stay, beware of sales person trying to sell vacation package , not worth the money or time stay away ! Nice place to stay quite , clean and friendly staff . Beach area is nice close to everything walking distance. Again stay away from sales packages not worth time or money. Used car sales mentality !

overall lovely again

Posted Aug 6, 2017
Pros: - balcony and outdoor jacuzzi - adults-only (nice break from my family) - good food -central but quiet location - staff aim to please
Cons: - communication about room preferences - room service and mini-bar - price, especially discounts for return guests
Location: Villa Premiere is about a half mile from the malecon (boardwalk) and a mile from town..a perfect walk for those inclined or inexpensive Uber ride.
I was one of the Premiere's first guests in 1999 and again a few years later. It was interesting to compare the resort now (July-Aug.2017) with my memories of it then. - I sent an email twice to the hotel mentioning the special occasion and that I would love the same Master suite we stayed in 18 years ago. I never heard back. Upon arrival they stated that it was occupied until the following day. - The resort is relaxing and fairly luxurious, yet personal. Most of the staff were heartfelt and genuine. - The pool area was renovated beautifully. I loved the cabanas and the pool and infinity pool looked nice. Food and drinks at the bar were superb. One food order was incorrect due to language, so confirm. - The Master Suite was spacious..divine jacuzzi on the enormous balcony, and a better layout than the suite I was originally given, comfortable king bed with pillow menu. - Room service was spotty. One afternoon I explained three times that I would be on the balcony but that the room would be unlocked. They said it would be 20-25 minutes. I had to call three times. 90 minutes later a small, sparse snack arrived..nothing like lunch at the pool. I am not a big drinker but I would have liked more than beer and soft drinks in the mini-bar. - The chef at the restaurants is first class and I loved everything he/she made. - Housekeeping was wonderful and personal. One evening Veronica came back to my room three times to be sure I could have the turndown service (which I loved).

After going to Villa Premiere for 5yrs and getting married at Villa Premiere. We will no longer be going there after my wife had money stolen from her wallet in her purse. This was brought to the attention of Hotel management and the General Manager could not say one word to us. Not one word. The only manager that said something was Oscar. We have recommended numerous friends and family to this Hotel.

Dear Anonymous, This comment was not expected. The management is totally aware about this situation since you reported to Oscar and we did a proper follow up with our Security Manager. An email was sent to your personal account providing more details about it. We hope you changed your point of view. Our employees have been working here for a long time as you recall. Most of them are the same as when you got married here. Thank you for the recommendations to your friends.

We keep coming back

Posted Jul 30, 2017
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Stop selling time shares!
Location: Easy walk to the Malecon, restaurants and shops
This was our 3rd trip to the Villa Premier and we will be back again. Armando, Javier, Fredo, Karen, Oscar, Faustino, Christian and the rest of the staff are some of the best reasons to come back. Our first visit was when this hotel opened in 1999/2000. It was nice then but the recent remodel and updating made is a pleasure to come back again. We are the type of tourist who don't do the all inclusive - we love to get out in town and eat and mingle, so our only food review was breakfast each morning and drinks by the pool - both very good. Our room was the basic with King bed and was just fine for us. The pillow choice option didn't make much sense to us as my husband and i both selected 2 different pillows but found them to be exactly the same (?). The scent for the room seemed to be applied only our first and second day and then disappeared. The one thing I wish they would tone down is the 'time-share' pressure. I did not want to sit thru the presentation but my husband agreed and what was supposed to be and hour and half turned into 3 hours!!!!!!!! Free breakfast, free city tour, discounted food, 2 free massages, etc.....was all part of the lure. The only piece that we took advantage of was the free massage, which was very nice. Time shares are a thing of the past - they were bad investments then and bad now. All in all a very nice trip. Sitting by the pool and speaking to other visitors we all had one thing in common - we will be back!

Dear Pat, Thank you for your comments and for the feedback. We believe that listening to our guests is how we improve. The pillow selection and fragances are a nice touch that we are proud of. We will check on your reservation to review your selection and see if we need to do any adjustment. Thank you again for your loyalty and we really look forward to welcome you back in the near future. Cheers.

We love it, this was our third visit

Posted Jul 29, 2017
Pros: We love that it's not so big, it feels personal
Cons: Use Bluetooth headsets to save the waitstaff some steps, waiters could communicate orders to the bartender and restaurant staff.
Location: We enjoy the authentic experience of Puerto Vallarta and sincerely hope it does not become more Americanized like Cancun and Cozumel
We loved it! To us the staff has become our friends, this was our third visit and just love these people. They work so hard morning to night and have such big hearts. We would like to see some feature implemented that make their jobs easier. So many new renovations had been made since our visit last summer, just absolutely beautiful. We had massages and facials while there, the spa is top notch. The gift shop has some lovely items and we enjoyed shopping there. Bicycles and waveboards are now a free part of the package. Our room smelled wonderful, the view from our balcony was breathtaking. Room service was prompt and never failed to deliver something delicious. I would like to see the grass area brought back to the pier, massages and weddings in this location are something I've enjoyed in the past.

Dear Laura el, Thank you for your comments and feedback. Let me tell you that we tried wireless headsets but they were not comfortable for the employees. Now we are looking for something that works better for them. Thank you for your words and we hope you come soon. Cheers.

Elevate the bar

Posted Jul 15, 2017
The bar had some good tequilas, but they were really missing on top shelf bourbons, vodka, Gina, and rums.
