"Alda Hotel, Reykajvik!"
Nice hotel, centrally located on the main street with shops, restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Only negative is there was no closet in the room. There were a few hooks to hang heavy jackets. We had to pull clothes from our bags that sat on the floor for our 5-day stay.

"Hotel in the middle of no where"
You must have a car as no tour services are offered by the hotel and local tour operators charge an additional $400 per day to pick up and return to hotel. Breakfast was very good and food delicious in the bar. Hot spa pool was not warm enough to use. Bedroom was tiny but sufficient. Bathroom towels were very small.

A little far from center of town but still walkable. Very helpful staff, they did a great job with advice for restaurants, touring, etc. Good breakfast with a variety of food offerings. Although parts of hotel was in process of renovated, it still wasn't a distraction or annoyance.

"Nice Room, clean and comfortable, great staff "
Nice hotel on the inside. Room was clean and the beds comfortable. Nice to have a bath jacuzzi in the room. The view however was not good! We were looking directly st a beer garden and a drop which was rather unsightly. We went during the week Monday to Friday but I would imagine it would be very loud on the weekend. There is a lovely steam room which we didn't realise was there until the last day on the second floor, it's in a bit of an odd location as you feel like your going into the cleabing area, but it's done really nicely when you get in there. If your going for the roof top jacuzzi, then this area is not the best, it's rather run down up there and the jacuzzi doesn't work very well. Staff were fantastic and so helpful and the hotel is in a great location if you want to be in the middle of the city.

"Comfortable Hotel with Central Location"
This was one of the few Icelandic hotels that offered a king size bed and was next to the Hlemmur Square bus stop, which is a central point for the buses. The downstairs has a nice set of lounges for you to hang out in if you've arrived very early, (before check-in) and unlike other hotels, they have a storage room for your luggage so you can wander about town if you would like until your room is ready. There is a 10-40 convenience store across the street and if you walk directly east from the front door, you have a lovely stroll towards the heart of the city. I had a conference just south at the University of Reykjavik and was impressed how centrally located I was to everything. The room was warm, comfortable and provided a variety of pillow, amenities and they even provided me with a power convertor when my old one failed. The room was surprisingly quiet with all the city bustle of buses and cars on the main town roads in the area and it's a great choice at a wonderful price in Reykjavik to stay.

"Large hotel and conference centre"
Large, busy hotel and conference centre. Free car parking. 15 - 20 min walk to Reykjavik centre. Free 2 hourly shuttle provided. An additional fee is required if guests want to use the spa facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable room and bed.Tea and coffee making facilities provided. Generous sized ensuite with bath and shower. Excellent breakfast provided. However, in the interests of public health and to prevent contamination the hotel should provide individual yoghurt pots at breakfast. We witnessed guests sampling and eating direct from the large bowls of yoghurt provided - disgusting.
