Nice hotel but terrible billing system

I purchased a 1-night suite through Expedia, paid the full amount on the room. When The day came, it turns out that they charge me the "rest of the amount" close to $300. I explained that I had already paid the full amount on the room ($500). They still went ahead and charged my credit card. So far management hasn't gotten back to me, not to mention that when I checked in my room was ready, but when I actually went to my room they were still cleaning it. I wasn't able to get to my room until 4:30pm. So disappointing!!

Don't waste your money

No air conditioning at the resort , Very uncomfortable. Rooms were small and there is limited ventilation, 1 window to open and it only opens 3 inches. I would never stay here again

We are sorry if our resort did not meet your expectations. Similar to many other properties in Tahoe, our resort does not have A/C because nighttime temperatures dip into the 40s-50s, which helps to cool off our rooms. We thank you for your feedback and will take your comments into consideration.

Card was charged 3 weeks prior to coming. When I specifically put to pay at hotel when I arrive.

Pros: Bathroom was nice, great views, large bed
The room has been renovated with new furniture and a nice, new bathroom. However, the rest of the resort feels very dated. The room had no central AC and the AC unit provided was loud and did not really work so the room was quite hot, even during the night. Curiously, pressing the maintenance button on the room phone dialed 911, which was fun.

Weekend anniversary

Pros: all the amenities, once we got the opportunity to read the room material it was to late to enjoy all the locations.
Cons: Parking situation gets a little tricky, and a map upon arrival would be nice.
Location: we went hiking 10 minutes away, restaurants down te main road about a 13 minute drive from stateline Tahoe.
We got in really late night but then in morning we got to see all the amazing views, from every window! We were always comfortable with the location and the elevation can get tuff but easy to manage if your in shape.

Lovely resort with nice amenities

Cons: Get air conditioning in the rooms that face the east.
Although our stay was pleasant, it was because we were not in our room between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Our room was in the Tower but faced the east. There is no air conditioning in the room and the fan provided helps only a little bit. The room was far too hot to sit in, nap in, or just hang out. We needed to leave during the day. The resort is beautiful and the location provides for some great views, although it is a twenty minute drive (minimum) to the lake. It is a clean facility that is well-maintained.

Great view

Would have rated it better if the resort would have had air conditioning! It is a first class place! Room was excellent, great workout room and a helpful staff!

THE RIDGE: WILL ALWAYS STAY HERE

This is not the first time we stay at the Ridge, but this particular was the best so far. Despite toiletries not being provided on time, we were overall pleased with our stay. They also upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite - which we really did not need but happy otherwise. I will always recommend this place.
