Minor annoying grievances

Great staff and nice hotel. When we booked thru Expedia, it was for a King size bed in a room with a view. When we checked in the front desk told us that there were no king sized rooms with views and that that is something Expedia falsely guarantees. The room was nice but the internet was terrible, the tv connection was terrible. If you just want a decent place to throw your stuff while running around the city, then this is above average.

Dated rooms, check-in/registration staff unfriendly. Room was clean and location was ok for business meetings on Market St financial district.

Pros: old and comfortable
Cons: coffee/hot water in rooms
Location: ate at vegetarian restaurants near by
I was escaping the fires in Santa Rosa and the Hotel Whitcomb provided a comforting refuge.

Nice hotel

Cons: Internet is horrible, especially in the evenings. No fridge is a huge disadvantage
Overall nice hotel, but surrounded by crowds of homeless people

Nice room in a good location at a reasonable price

Pros: Close to where I needed, efficient, and price.
Cons: This is an old building, which gives it some charm along with its problems. E.g. one of the electric plugs was not working.
Was looking for one night stay close to Palace of Fine Arts for a business conference. Whitcomb was the only place near this place with a price under $400/night which was reasonably clean, safe and comfortable. Not hight of luxury, but it met the need.

Horrible!!

Pros: The starbucks
Cons: everything !
Location: too many homeless people right in front of hotel.
Nothing more to say. .... It was one of the worst....
