Beautiful home base for exploring the Osa

Posted Jul 13, 2016
Pros: Everything. The beautiful rooms and gardens; the excellent staff; the free kayaks; the good food and the location on a river.
Cons: A greater variety of snacks from day to day during the evening happy hour. The food was delicious but if you stay 5 days, there could be more choices.
Location: Located at the mouth of a river, you can take a free kayak and explore the river or Drakes Bay on your own. All of the Osa tours can be booked.
We went to the Osa for the wildlife and we were not disappointed. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful birds and the guided trips you take with Carlos will allow you to put names to what you see and allow you to see what you are missing that is plainly there, whether looking for birds or nightlife. Carlos is an excellent naturalist. After many years of guiding, he will be just as excited as you to see an anteater, a Toucan our a pair of squawking scarlet macaws. The guides provided; for the Cano snorkleing trip and the Corcavodo trip were also excellent.

Wonderful lodge great people

Posted Nov 20, 2013 on Hotels
Spent three days at the lodge. Brad the owner and Olman the manager as well as all the other staff were wonderful and made us feel at home and took great care of us. We dove for two days and fished one day and loved it all. Would definitely come back.

Paradise

Posted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: Read above
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Small town, jungle river kayaking, sea kayaking, dive boat, tour of the national park, bird watching, guided swims with bio luminescence ....
We spent 5 days at Aguila, it was amazing. The guest list is small and intimate, the food fresh and delicious and the staff is amazing. Bradd the owner is on site and delightful. There is something for everyone, but relaxing is perfect too!!! Best part of our Costa Rica experience!!

Aguila, Bahia Drake : une situation de rêve

Posted Aug 17, 2011 on Hotels
