Friendly staff nice breakfast pool area has a barbecue pit for cook out they have balcony rooms n kitchenette suites close to beach n food n shopping area

Hurricane Harvey no refund staff was more interested in having us stay at hotel and weather out the storm in dangerous conditions.

I honestly thought I had done my review when I booked this hotel for our family summer vacation. Our vacation was for five days. It all started from when I registered. Paperwork could not be found. The elevator only fits two people at a time with luggage. We are a family of four, had to go up to our rooms in two's. As the elevator opens the smell of pinesol, fabuloso, and paint (remodeling/construction on the 3th floor) was overwhelming. My nostrils burned of the smell. The room smelled just as overwhelming. One of the beds had stains on the sheets, the wiring for the television, and appliances all sticking out, and the refrigerator was iced over. To top it off there was two dead baby roaches INSIDE the refrigerator. That right there made us leave on the spot. We could not stay, no one ones to bring critters of any kind home. We were in the hotel for less than 30 minutes and were told that we would still need to pay the night. I was only given a partial credit (paid in advance). Advice-- don't ever pay in advance. This hotel is not recommended for a family type vacation.

Not what I expected

Room was spacious but the sliding door was locked with a wood stick bearly even open lots of noise, babies crying just a bad experience
