We were put in a oceanfront room on the second floor. We know that the hotel was not full, and wished that the front desk staff had put us into a higher level floor oceanfront room on the 5th to 8th floor, so that we could have at least, have had a view of the beach, not the dunes. We paid good money for an oceanfront room, and feel that the hotel did not try to place us in a better view room, ie: higher level floor. We may NEVER return to this hotel in the future because of this.

Great view of the beach.loved the balcony. Enjoy eat out on the balcony with music of are own and great scenery. Easy Walk to beach and pool.

It's a really great place for the price and staff is ALWAYS so nice. It's an older property but it's clean every time we stay. Every room has a view of the ocean and a balcony. Hot tub and pool cleaned everyday. I love that it's right on the beach. My second visit and I will return. Houskeepers nice, front desk nice, everyone is nice! Thank you for making our stay wonderful ❤️

Horrible hotel policy.. I reserved a hotel for a certain day and they messed up my reservation date now I’m at lost $180 dollars .. manager was very rude when I tried to resolve the issue with them I definitely will never do business with this specific hotel again and don’t recommend either.

Horrible, horrible, horrible I cancelled and want a refund immediately! This place Is Super Outdated needs a lot of repair , it sticks very bad it should be shut down!!! The rooms and place smelled like death! They need to hire inspectors asap! Very unsafe would never book at padre south hotel .

We were charged $15 per person per day when we booked it said it was free paid in cash no receipt only no coffee in room

Property is on the beach. Older hotel so its age shows. A/C unit did not work properly. Staff changed it out in about an hour but was about midnight at that point. Very limited selection for breakfast.

The hotel is located right on the beach. It's within a reasonable walking distance to Padre Blvd, where the shops and restaurants are located. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel itself and rooms are very clean. The reason for the 4 star on overall and property condition is because it's currently being renovated so not all the rooms are done yet and the noise from the construction. We've stayed here in the past and like the location but it was extremely outdated. Happy to see it being updated.

Very run down and outdated. NOT what the photos advertised. Toilets not working, electrical cover plates missing, ceiling panels falling out, horrible smell & general wore out rooms. No breakfast on week days.

We stayed in the 8th floor pent house and it was terrible. Outdated, windows falling out, supposed to be 2 bedrooms but only one bedroom and a room with a pull close screen. Dishwasher didn’t work. Dated stove and refrigerator. We weren’t happy with the room and won’t recommend to anyone.

Went for the Starship launch. Parking was out front of the building and crowded but expected due to the launch. Check-in was friendly and quick. Room was basic and clean but needs refurbishment. Nice balcony. Easy to get to and several restaurants near in walking distance. For the price it was the right choice for the launch.

Padre South hotel is an old hotel and somewhat outdated. Bed and pillowa are bad overall in terms of comfort but not the worst. Hoyel was very clean though and service wad great. Location is excellent and price great.
