Convenient rooms and close to the beachPosted Nov 10, 2015
Loved my experience, yes hotel could use some tlc but for the price to get a beach front view with a full size fridge, microwave, toaster and essentials to cook I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Room was very spacious with a table and couch that pulled out if needed. Let's not forget the beach access was amazing. I woild recommend this hotel and definitely come back.

Nice facilities with friendly , helpful staff.Posted Nov 4, 2015
Pros: Location, facilities, staff.
Cons: They are currently upgrading rooms.
Location: On the beach, near restaurants, shopping, sightseeing.
Helpful staff, clean room, right on the beach. Staff helped me lower the rate from expedia to direct booking saving me over $100.00.

I paid $56 a night through groupon and wasn't expecting anything nice. Which was good because the rooms were straight out of the 80's. The carpet was really matted and sticky. I wore flip flops. The bed was extremely hard. They said it was a queen, but it was a full. The mattress and the couch were both extremely heavy. I'd guess they were filled with 20 years worth of skin cells. The people in the room next to us smoked all weekend and made our room smell disgusting. We were on the 8th floor. To get hot water in the shower I had to turn all the sinks and tub on for at least five minutes to get any hot water at all. All the outer rooms have balconies. It was also close to the beach. Use the public access next to the hotel instead of the hotels access. It's easier. Hot tub was warm. Get drunk and forget about it.

Helpful Staff/ Cenral LocationPosted Oct 21, 2015
Pros: Staff. Good refrigerator in room. View up the beach. Parking worked well.
Cons: The halls are a little stark and dusty.
Location: The CVS a block away is great for whatever you forgot to bring.
The hotel is well located, on the beach and just a mile or so from bridge and causeway to South Padre. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in assisting me to locate retail outlets late at night for a missing computer accessory. Also, the room rate was very reasonable.

Last minute bookingPosted Oct 12, 2015
Decided to leave a day eay for our getaway and this was one of the few decently reviewed places with availability. We arrived at 2am the check in was perfect though they required a $100 deposit. w When we went up to our room we noticed how old and musty the hotel was, the same for the room. The kitchenette it cane with was falling apart and the cupboard was literally duct taped on a side panel. I felt that my $100 deposit charge was a little ridiculous as the room was already falling apart. Despite this we needed sleep the bed felt gross and humid. I couldn't sleep so at 6 am I decided to step on to the balcony to at least enjoy the beach view, only,to discover red vomit all over the ledge, I'm a nurse so vomit doesnt make me vomit but I did think this was unacceptable. I went to notify front desk who seemed less than surprised. When I went back upstairs I attempted to close the balcony door but it wouldn't. At this point I just wanted to get out of there. At check out I once again notifed the front desk and asked them to notate the door issue as well, as I just felt that the 100 deposit is a way to get people to pay for their existing subpar conditions. My deposit was returned but I would never recommend this hotel.

Well worth the money!!!Posted Sep 22, 2015
Pros: its right on the beach, rooms are nice and everything worked.
Cons: possibly updating the amenities,
Location: the beach, shopping and restaurants were all near by - excellent location at an excellent price.
The hotel is within walking distance from the beach, while not the newest of amenities there are still amenities and for what you are paying you definitely get your moneys worth. Its right on the beach!!

Close hotel to the beachPosted Sep 20, 2015
The hotel it self was great. It had a full kitchen with the standerd Queen/ sofa bedroom. I did not like that we were blind side with a $100 cash damage deposit for being under 31 years old when we checked in. There was nothing saying anything about this when booking. It also did not have free ice on the floors.

Older but great hotel by the beachPosted Sep 8, 2015
My daughter and I stayed two nights. After driving 9 1/2 hrs we were greeted warmly by the staff. Our room was very clean. The full kitchen was very convenient. Exiting the back of the hotel was the pool and beach assess via short path. Overall a great trip!!
