Nightmare

Not the same hotel that was on line ... no view of the bay .... we were next to a canal ... room was like something you would see in a frat house ..... pitiful! Don't know if I trust Expedia anymore....

Older hotel but still nice

Posted Mar 31, 2017
Pros: I liked the air conditioning system in the room
Cons: There is no exercise room
Location: South Padre Island
Hotel is aged. It used to be a Best Western. It is still nice. Rooms are spacious and kept clean. There is a view of a harbor on the bay. Fishing is allowed from the back patio. Nice pool, hot tub and elevator. Breakfast room is a little small. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice Hotel, perfect location

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: The cleanliness and the kindness of the staff
Location: 10 minute walk from Claytons.
Stayed at this hotel for UME during spring break and it was marvelous. I was walking distance from the venue. The staff was incredibly kind and the room was perfect. I did not experience anything negative. I would definitely recommend this hotel. A+++

Clean, cramped parking

Posted Mar 3, 2017
Seemed to be freshly painted. Rooms were updated, tiled, clean, no bugs. In room coffee maker, fridge, microwave. A/C seemed loud to me, but worked well. Some of the rooms overlook the bay with bbq pits and an area to fish. Towels were thin and rough. Plenty of soap from the dispenser by the sink. Two dispensers in shower were soap and shampoo, no conditioner. Sink was annoying, left little space to put anything on it. Parking was horrible. Very cramped and awkward when trying to park. Pool was small, but clean. Has a jacuzzi. Has an elevator. Ice machine- one did not work, both need replacing in my opinion. Breakfast area is small and cramped. Oatmeal, pastry, juice, coffee, cereal, toast and one waffle maker (which made for a long wait). Breakfast from 7:00-9:00. Mostly quiet hotel. Pool closes at 11pm. They discourage noise on the premises after 11pm. So although there seems to be several cons, most of them are just small annoyances. I enjoyed my stay and my rate was under $50 a night.

Hello Suzy, thank you for taking the time to review your stay we appreciate it. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are working on getting the towels replaced. Parking is a little tight for bigger vehicles however we offer additional parking at the front of the hotel. There is also an empty lot next to the hotel guest can park on.

Do not stay here. Unless you like cheap rooms and no help from employees
