stayed for a concert

Stayed overnight for a concert. I booked super early and am glad I did, they were full. Check in was a breeze, the staff was friendly. The hotel was quiet the whole time we were there. I would stay again.

Nice Hotel

Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Keep dining room open longer (10am) in mourning.
Location: Close to music theater and convention center.
Close to the music theater. Clean comfortable room. Lots of dining options in area.

Poor Communication & Difficult Staff

Cons: Better staff training, better customer service
Location: This is about 40 minutes outside of Chicago. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.
I booked my first night through Expedia, and called the hotel to extend my stay by 1 night. I was told this was no issue; when they swiped my card at the front desk for my first night, they would make sure to link the card to my second night stay as well. When we returned to our room after the second night (immediately after charging snacks and drinks from the gift shop to the room), our key cards didn't work. I went back to the front desk where they told me my card was declined (it wasn't), finally they admitted that there was no card on file for the second night. The woman that took my second night reservation should have better communicated with the other staff to save us the inconvenience. Also, one of the lights in the bathroom was out, and the ice machine on our floor didn't work. If you are paying the rates this hotel charges, I expect things to go smoothly. I would not return.
