Balcony is a must
Great location, but make sure when booking that you make a reservation for a room with a balcony. Otherwise, you’ll be looking out to a narrow side alley - definitely not very appealing.

Great…and not so great.
This hotel is in a fantastic location and the flowers everywhere are beautiful. We had a lovely terrace outside our room covered in plants. The food at the restaurant and the service are both excellent. Two issues: the building is super old and it shows (dirt in the corners of, well, everything) and the outside of the place could use a refresh. Our main issue was our room - it was really big and was not originally built with a washroom in it - so they had added this super modern, glass space which would be ok but it had stripes of privacy frosting on the glass like the kind I have on our boardroom at work - you can still see basically everything. Fine if you know your travel companion really well, but still a bit awkward.

Fantastic - From Start to Finish!
If arriving by car, check Google maps for the lane behind the hotel where you drop off your luggage and reception then provides a map for parking. From check in to check out, service was exemplary. Not sure how check in would be with a car however reception made sure it was easy. Check out was just as easy retrieving the car, and then loading it at the back door. The room we booked was a classic double with balcony. It was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well and the wi fi signal was strong. Slept well, hotel is quiet and the room was quiet. Breakfast was a very nice buffet with plenty of variety. Fresh fruit cocktail, fresh pineapple, melon and 'freshly' squeezed orange juice!! Pastries were delicious - chocolate pain - fantastic. Scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, cereal, etc. All fantastic. What a well managed hotel, and a great team of employees! Nice job Aurora Hotel.

Perfect hotel, nothing to improve
This is a wonderful hotel. All staff were super friendly from the moment we arrived. Our room had river and mountain views. The room was very clean and the restaurant was superb. It’s a perfect location with easy arrival and quick walking access into the pedestrian area. Would definitely stay there again, wow!

great price hotel good value
We had an updated room in the old part of the hotel although we booked classic room which I think we may have preferred. There was no separate bathroom, the toilet and shower were in glass partitioned boxes either side of the room but nice in that all rooms are different, if you like Premier inn this hotel is not for you Breakfast lovely and we had afternoon coffee and cake outside under a fleece looking at the Xmas lights, location brilliant and can walk to the train station

The hotel is perfectly located nearby city centre, for this period is great because the famous Christmas market is just outside the facility. Even being so close to the "movida", the room is quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful, agreement with a nearby parking at a fair rate

The hotel is very quaint. An old building with lots of charm. First hotel where I received a real metal key for my room. The room had a balcony that overlooked a river. Very scenic. Very close to the therme spa which was spectacular. Close to city Center. Only negative was the service at the restaurant fina. The service was very slow and we returned a meal that was not good or what we thought we ordered and they refused to remove the returned meal from the bill. Stay away from their restaurant

Good location + good value.
Good location. Clean & good service. Breakfast served nice variety of foods & beverages. Only problem was positioning our car to unload luggage as hotel located on a walking street, also our room overlooked a wall?!

We enjoyed our stay at Aurora. The staff at reception were particularly helpful and its position was as central as hoped with the thermal baths just opposite and our entry there organised by hotel who also supplied robe and towel.

We couldn't find the entry to the hotel from our car,,which turned out to be in the back along an alleyway . The parking garage was across the river near the Thermal spa underground. the hotel had a good location for walking in the city.

Wonderful view from the balcony but...
View was amazing but the room was. Dry small with the double bed up against the wall. The door to the entrance lobby couldn't close because the bedside table prevented it from closing. They needed to rearrange the room and have less furniture. Parking was a drive away from the hotel. Staff were lovely but it's just not a 4 star hotel.

This is a family-owned hotel. My parents started visiting over 30 years ago and I have been family and friends. It is a wonderful place in a great resort town.

This hotel was very clean. The room's air conditioning worked great which was important since it was 90+degrees outside. The location was perfect for getting around gorgeous Merona!

Zimmer war modern eingerichtet mit viel zusätzlicher Lichtgestaltung im Design.TV war im Spiegel indegriert. Bett war bequem. Es gab eine Minibar. Frühstück war besonders gut mit viel frischem Obst. Was mir nicht so gefallen hat, waren die Wasserhähne im Bad, die sehr schwer zu bedienen waren. Das war aber nur in unserem Zimmer mit der Nummer 16. Die Lage top...in mitten der Stadt.

Hall fantastica, accogliente e moderna, tuttavia le stanze erano un po' datate anche per il sistema di chiusura delle porte e l'illuminazione. Colazione molto varia, ma scomoda la posizione della sala da colazione rispetto al buffet. Posizione meravigliosa per visitare sia i metcatini che il centro storico. Fermata dell'autobus a due passi dall'hotel per piter raggiungere diverse destinazioni.

Il soggiorno a Merano è stato particolarmente piacevole. L'hotel si trova sulla via dei mercatini di Natale con tutte le luminarie che danno una suggestività avvolgente.

Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen da es schön und sauber war, sehr gut gelegen ist und das Personal sehr freundlich war. Wenn ich irgendetwas finden müsste das nicht perfekt war, dann wäre es das etwas zu kleine enge Badezimmer.
