Slightly faded comfort with good breakfastPosted Nov 16, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed, convenient location, eggs cooked to order at breakfast, very pleasant service even when very busy on a Sunday morning. 10m pool.
Cons: It could do with a bit of re-decoration
Location: Right on the Marina, 5 minute walk to the main shopping centre
Well situated marriott with lovely views of the marina. Slightly faded but rooms very comfortable - especially the beds - pleasant staff and excellent buffet breakfast for a chain hotel.

AnnoyingPosted Nov 15, 2015
stayed over night at the local Marriott local too my home too get away from the kids and booked a superior room for me and my girlfriend for the night. At around about 11.30 a family moved into the adjoining room and they had at least 3 children screaming crying all night. So we had to move to a downgraded twin business room at midnight and all they offered was a free breakfast. A total waste of time and money. £125 to be messed around all night!!!! Would not recommend

good locationPosted Oct 28, 2015
Pros: staff were friendly and helpful location right next to beach was why we chose it and nice view of the marina the other side.
Cons: Bathrooms were jaded, needed a revamp breakfast buffet involvled a long wait breakfast was not cleared promptly (again understaffed
Location: LC2 indoor water park. very goo including boardrider 'surf school' gower heritage centre - terrible! tired and half exhibits not running on the day
a good value mini break for us.. and cheaper than most marriots..(hence we woudn't have gone) but for good reason. hotel seemed tired and in need of decoration. main problem was the wait at breakfast as they were very understaffed in the kitchen. food was made to order but this doesn't work for a buffet breakfast when you want to eat and get on with your day. we waited on average 15 minutes for our cooked breakfast each day.. queing at the buffet as eggs were made 4 at a time.. and then given out 2 at a time... bacon was also underdone but this is quite standard in hotels I guess. Jacuzzi was out of order but we were not forewarned of this... or discounted for it....

A great place to stayPosted Sep 20, 2015
Our daughter was moving into a university accommodation, so an overnight stay at the Marriott was necessary. We met a lovely couple from Liverpool at the Bar and the evening went very well. No doubt, we will be visiting Swansea again and stay at the Marriott. My husband went to the football on Saturday and his team were staying at the hotel, he was very happy.

Good hotel with traditional features.Posted Sep 13, 2015
Cons: Jacuzzi wasn't in operation while we were there, but all other facilities were very good.
Location: Oxwich Bay's huge beach was our favourite, and Langlands beach. We liked Verdi's ice cream parlour at The Mumbles.
Great room for family of 4. Swimming pool was super and lovely and warm. Great location for exploring South Wales and Gower beaches. Excellent friendly staff.

The hotel is nice and the staff are very friendlyPosted Sep 8, 2015
We're glad we chose the Marriott hotel to stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. But was disappointed when we saw the bed as it's very small and the aircon was too loud.it's worst when we found out that the Jacuzzi wasn't working which it wasn't mentioned when we booked the room.

Breakfast was awful, with fresh fruit that tasted off and poached eggs that you could bounce off the walls. Rooms and bathroom smelt stale. BAthrooms need a facelift - this did not feel like a Marriott Hotel!

good hotel but eat outPosted Aug 27, 2015 on Hotels
We liked the hotel overall, reception staff very nice and helpful, room and neighbourhood great, but let down by the bar and restaurant, the bar just had no atmosphere at all, it wasn't a pleasant pplace to be, and the restaurant service was very poor, the staff bar one chap just had no sense of urgency and weren't familiar with their own menu, we had to get our own drinks from the bar, and they had the cheek to add a service charge which we declined. The food is very nice but very expensive and not realy worth the extra money. To be fair breakfast is very good though. All in all a very good hotel but eat lunch and dinner out.
