Good base hotel

Pros: Convenient to eateries and Barber Race Track
Cons: Staff was great but could use a second office person.
Location: Convenient to all franchise eateries and BMS
Nice hotel, range, sink, and fridge in the room. Every thing nice except for the few baby roaches. Need to spray more often. Otherwise a convenient hotel for visiting Barber Motorsports Race track.

Not a clean hotel

Pros: In a nice and quiet location
Cons: Overall cleaniness
Location: Pappadeaux and other restaurants in the area; including some grocery shops.
The first room we got, there was human hair around the toilet bowl, uncleaned bowl; and red blood stains on the kitchen worktop. Got a second room which had big bugs that we had to kill, big spider web at the entrance door as well. Quality of soap was bad; We had to go and collect some plates and cutlery when it was supposed to be delivered. Also there was no washing up liquid. Stair case had cigarette stubs and dead bugs around. Unable to cook since that was the reason of booking the accommodation. Not a good experience overall and will not be back.

Birmingham Retreat

Booked for 5 nights due to Hurricane evacuation. Staff was great. Not all amenities available, possibly due to sold out status. Room was clean & comfortable. Price was very reasonable. I'd do this again.

Excellent location

Clean and comfortable room for a reasonable price. A mall and several restaurants located near by. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Dirty bathrooms and bed linen

Needles, loud music and lots of smokers. Grounds were not clean.

Looks great from far away; too many issues.

Pros: The bed was comfortable. Good location.
Cons: Very disorganized. Not clean at all.
Location: Very close to downtown Birmingham!
I got this room at a great rate, and I wasn't expecting a 5 Star experience, however there were just too many issues to ignore. Upon check in everything seemed great, the place was nice and the woman who assisted me was nice enough. When I got to my room, both the deadbolt and the secondary lock were broken, I went back to the front desk to report this and was met with a very negative attitude. The woman working acted very inconvenienced by my issue and at first told me there was no other room to put me in. This was concerning due to the time of night (it as about 10:00). However, she then proceeded to write down a number on our keys, re-scan them, and hand them to me without saying anything. I guess she found us a room? Room 2: The new keys didn't work. However, the door opened without a key so I went ahead in, the lock on this one actually worked and I wasn't planning on going anywhere that night so I decided to deal with the key issue in the morning when someone else was working. I killed 3 roaches that night, and had a fly in my room as well. There was dirt on the sheets, and something had recently been spilled in the kitchen area without being cleaned. The bed was comfy, especially after I cleaned it. The next morning I got the key situation straightened out with a much more friendly day manager. She noted that when they changed my room, the night manager failed to note it in the system correctly. The rest of my stay was fine, 1 more roach the second night.
