It had a pool and was close to where we were going

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Pros: It was clean and people were nice
Cons: I did not like the placement of the room. We were right next to the cleaning closet and it was noisy
Location: There was a lot of food places and easy access to alot of places
It was close to a lot of food places and easy to get back home. We stayed really close to where we were going to be going the next day.

Liz, thank you for reviewing us. We're happy to know our location was perfect for your needs. However, we're sorry to know you were disturbed because of your room being next to our housekeeping pantry. If you would have shared your concern with us while you were with us, our front desk team would have been happy to help you and would have moved you to another room. We request you to let us know your room preference on you next arrival so that we can accommodate you in your choice of room. We look forward to your next visit soon to make you experience a peaceful stay with us. Sincerely, General Manager

We came into town for my son's track meet so we traveled with kids and therefore I was looking for something soft on my pockets. I guess you get what you pay for. When checking in I waited at the fron desk for a good 5 mins with nobody behind the counter. They really need a bell or something to get their attention as they step in the back and leave the front desk unattended. The room overall was ok however when we tried to use the oven to make the kids a pizza we smoked up the whole room, we didn't realize the back of the oven was so dirty. I tried to call the front desk but our phone wasn't working, so I walked to them (waited again) and asked them to pls send smbdy to clean the oven and fix the phone. This was on a Friday that we checked in, those issues were never resolved. The pool definitely needs some tlc. It looks very dingy and the water is so hot it's almost like a huge jacuzzi, it's ok for late night swimming but not during the day that it's 98 degrees outside. On Sat night I was awaken at 2am by loud music and chatter. Since my phone didn't work I again had to walk to the front desk to ask them to pls ask the room next to us to quiet down but to my surprise the noise was coming from the laundry room, so the ones having a good time were actually employees. This place wouldn't be so bad if their customer service was better. Oh yeah and there is no free breakfast, they have coffee and muffins for you. Also take your own dishes, they have a very empty kitchen.

Please accept our sincere apologies for our staff not being attentive to your needs and for the unsatisfactory service you received during your stay. The lack of responsiveness by the team is unacceptable, and we have training in place for our associates to practice the true meaning of hospitality. To ensure cleanliness of kitchenware, brand standards require us to make them available at the front desk rather than leaving it in the suites. We would like to regain your trust and hope you will give us that chance in the future. Sincerely, General Manager

NEVER extend @ Lenoir Extended-Stay-

This is a "self serve" hotel --no make beds /get clean towels @front desk/no clean room/no clean dishes .Small TV.The kitchenette NOT STOCKED at ALL...can get a few things at front desk-- no soap. Low lighting --rooms & hall dark ...the room smelled of smoke..[supposed to be Non-Smoking.....doors slamming all night long /walls very thin ...heard more of 'neighbor activities' than I ever wanted to know, Supposedly was 'redone ' in October 2016- not enough!...collected $100. deposit despite prepaid in full & 4 days & still no credit back....it is a straight road to Mayo Clinic - our reason.to be in Jax. but NEVER AGAIN & Telling social worker at Mayo also.James @ front desk pleasant.

The room was nice and clean and the little kitchen was awesome for our family to make simple meals. The tub/shower was filthy and the smoke detector was wrapped in towel and in a drawer in the bathroom. The floors at this particular location seemed very thin, we could hear and feel each other walking around and had complaints from downstairs about our noise. I would definitely stay again if the room was on ground floor. Overall: good location with plenty of restaurants nearby, indoor go karting just a few blocks away and the beach about 25 minutes away.

Not good

Upon checking the upgrade room I paid for wasn't available so they gave me a standard room at the same price. No effort made to rectify the situation. Room had no hair drier....it just wasn't a pleasant experience.
