nice place- close to UNF and beach

This property met our needs. uNF was very close as was Town Center for those who like to shop. The beach was close as well and navigating the area was easy. Food choices were abundant . The hotel was nice- having breakfast included is a definite plus, and the selection was decent. The beds were comfortable, staff was very friendly. The rooms are decent size, temperature control excellent. There was a sitting area with large sofa, small sink and fridge, and a desk. Felt very safe on this property. Workout room was adequate with two treads, bike, bench and weights, and elliptical. Didn't use the pool but looked clean and accommodating.

Great place to stay.

Location: I only stayed here for one night on the way to Orlando and then one night on the way back to NC, so i didn't have time to do much.
The staff in the lobby was AMAZING. Fast, friendly and courteous! The citrus water was the best I've ever had!

Plenty of space in rooms, staff was amazing! Several great restaurants within walking distance! Even had music at the pool and jacuzzi!!

Nice staff but not room

The staff was exceptionally nice, caring and comforting. The continental breakfast was pretty good with many choices. The room was not good especially for the price. The room smelled, the couch had a noticeable stain on it, the mattress of the let out couch looked old and dingy, the long mirror was stained pretty badly, the shower had a crack in the wall by the knob, the shower curtain had dark spots on it, the ceiling had many brown spots on it, the walls had bumps in it, and the room was classified as accessible but was too small to navigate around in. Depending on your likes decides whether or not you should stay in this hotel.

I Would Not Stay Here Again.

We had an issue with the first room we were assigned being unclean with hairs in the sink, tub, and on the toilet seats, and the bathroom had a very nasty smell. We were graciously moved to another room which also had hairs in the tub and on the toilet, so I cleaned it myself and decided to just make the best of it. Shortly thereafter, I went to take a shower and pulled down one of the towels above the toilet only to find someone had wrapped a dirty tampon and a bloody tissue up in the supposedly clean towel and folded it back up and placed it with the "clean" ones. It basically fell out on me, which was disgusting. The head housekeeper was very nice and came and removed it and offered to discount my room rate, and I did get a $30.00 discount. The staff was very accommodating and the lady that cleaned our room, Ms. Sandra, was very nice and did a great job straightening things up while we were out. Jonathan, the front desk worker, was also very nice and did whatever he could to make things right. However, I would not stay here again because I do not like to be anywhere that is not clean and I did not feel that the hotel was clean at all. The pool was also very dirty. My advice to anyone staying there would be to check your "clean" towels and linens. It was truly not a good experience for me and my family and the room should be a clean place to wind down after the activities of the day. I did not look forward to going back to the room to rest.

terrible weekend

rooms are smaller than any other Springhill we have stayed at . no division from the kitchen , sofa area and the bedroom . Smell of graphite odor throughout the entire hotel . elevator slow . had to continue to go to front desk to get new keys 4-5 times a day and internet disconnect unless you pay for it .

Great hotel

Location: This is located in the Tinseltown area of the Southside of Jacksonville. Tinseltown is a movie theater with many restaurants surrounding.
Upon arrival and all through my stay, the staff was very friendly and eager to help. The room is a nice size and seemed very clean. There were only a few things that I did not like about the hotel. The breakfast that is offered could have been better. There were bagels, cereal and "eggs", but no healthy options available. Also, there was a full length mirror in the bathroom area that faced the bed, which is bad feng shui. I made sure to sleep as far on the edge as possible so the mirror wasn't facing me. The room was very clean, but the towels smelled very strongly of bleach. These were minor issues, and would not prevent me from returning. I would appreciate if they were resolved before my next visit, though. I did not check out the amenities that the hotel offered, so I cannot speak of those.
