Plymouth, here we come

Pros: Location
Cons: Time to update the look and usability. The wall paper in the bathroom was coming loose due to the dampness.
Location: Right across from the harbor, we walked to the visitors center, Plymouth Rock, mayflower II, and lots of local restaurants on the pier.
The location was fantastic! The room was a little "worn" and could benefit from some remodeling, fixing up. There was no fan is the bathroom, so the humidity simply increased after a shower...the tile floor, the doorknob, everything felt damp/wet. The breakfast was sufficient with enough of a variety for our needs.

Pros: Location is good. Probably the only reason anyone would return to stay there. Better off to stay in a chain hotel on Rte. 44, about 15 mins. away.
Cons: Renovate the rooms and bring them up to 2015 industry standards. It could be a real gem of a property.
Location: On Plymouth waterfront with lost of things to do nearby. Good restaurants.
1. Made the res. April 2nd. They had no record of our Expedia reservation upon C/I Aug. 8th. No king rooms left, had to take a pet-friendly dbl room on bottom floor. Had to pony up a night's lodging fee of $188. because they didn't have my deposit. Res. clerk not very friendly. 2. Guest room entry door delaminating at bottom, sloppy red paint job on door. Poor 1st impression. 3. Very old, dated furniture, cheap looking. 4. Old lamps w/dingy shades. Clock 2 hrs off. Tried to reset, but couldn't. 5. Old analog T.V. w/ small screen. 6. Small pillows 1 with dingy white pillow case, 1 with dingy off-white pillow case. 7. Dbl beds terrible. Bouncy springs, sagged in the middle. Cheap blanket. Didn't get any sleep 8. Wallpaper bubbled, torn, old 9. Cold water flow at sink very weak. 10.Toilet wouldn't flush completely. 11.Carpet old, frayed by door. 12. No room darkening drapes. Cheap maroon curtain on window. 13, A/C very noisy. 14. Overall, very shabby and outdated room for the price...way overpriced. 15. Dog poop on lawn outside door in the am. 16. Didn't dare have cont. breakfast in am. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Didn't even shower in the am. My wife and I do a lot of travelling in U.S. and this was the worst room we've stayed in at any price. I've been in the hotel/restaurant business for 30 years and it's obvious that ownership has re-invested little money in this property.

Stayed to be close to son's new restaurant

Room was ok as far as sleeping. Bathroom door handle fell off in hand. Inside shower the towel rack was hanging off on one side. All could have been prevented if thy had a maintance dept.

Pros: Location
Cons: Everything needs to be improved. Start with renovating the bathrooms and changing the carpets. Find a way to get air in the rooms.
Location: Super close to the rock and the Mayflower II, close to restaurants too.
Very disappointed overall, one would expect some decent and OK place given the high price. Hotel rooms need some serious repairs. No windows, everything is unpleasant.

This is an old hotel but the staff was very helpful and friendly. The view from our room was great. The pool was a bonus and you could get food and non alcoholic beverages poolside. There was a Continental breakfast but we didn't wake up on time. Good value for the price.

The hotel was very old and run down. We booked on expedia and they only offered two double beds or a King. There were three if us traveling so doubles were picked. There were hardly any cars in the parking lot at 7:30pm when we checked in so we asked if we could get a water view. The man behind the desk said "you didn't request a water view"!! I kind of thought he was kidding because I don't remember that question being asked when booking. We booked a non smoking room and he reminded us not to smoke. When we got in the room it smelled like old cigarettes!!! Aweful. The breakfast was a joke. Only carbs were offered except for a whole apple. Would not stay there again unless they updated!!

The location of this hotel is its best feature...the view from the beach side can't be beat. It's an older hotel and not luxurious, but perfectly adequate as a base for Plumouth activities.

Perfect location. The rooms were average, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast left alot to be desired. But the staff was great. We arrived before check-in and they gave us a parking pass anyways while we went whale watching. Then we left an item behind in our hotel room and I called about it after we got home and they had it and were more than happy to mail it back to us. Even made the comment "It's the least we can do".... I was impressed. For that reason alone I would stay there again.
