Great location, but a little tired in parts
Parts of the hotel are tired, but the bedrooms are in good condition. Bed very comfortable and an excellent shower. Food was ok, nothing special but fine, though the milk at breakfast wasn't great. Great location, though can't see why they needed to charge us to park in their car park.

Nice hotel on Lake, great views
I enjoyed my two-night stay at the Maritim. Their morning breakfast buffet is quite comprehensive - something for everyone and more. Beautiful scenery looking out toward Lake. Lakeside running trail nearby. The street connecting it to the rest of the village is mostly for pedestrians so the vehicle access by small country roads from the other direction can be challenging at night without gps to guide you.

Wunderschöner Kurztrip
Wir hatten 2 Nächte vom 06.01.-08.01. für 2 Erwachsene und einer 17-Jährigen mit Halbpension in diesem Hotel gebucht. Das Hotel war für diese Jahreszeit gut gebucht, trotzdem wurde unser Anliegen wegen der Zimmergröße umgehend, und viel besser als wir erwarten konnten, von Frau Fitterling gelöst. Das Personal (Rezeption, Kellner, Zimmer) war absolut freundlich. Wir fanden das Flair dieses Hotels so schön, so wie man sich ein Hotel im Schwarzwald vorstellt. Es liegt fast am Ende der verkehrsberuhigten Straße und direkt am See. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge oder Wanderungen um den See. Das Frühstücksbuffet, sowie das Buffet am Abend waren sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Das Schwimmbad haben wir nicht genutzt, wäre aber möglich gewesen. Dagegen hatten wir ein paar schöne Stunden beim Kegeln und Billard. Sollten wir nochmals in der Nähe vom Titisee sein, werden wir definitiv wieder dieses Hotel buchen!!

Unhelpful staff upon learning the spa was completely booked (no mention of being on a wait list, spa suggestions in the local area, etc). Had to ask multiple times for the staff to call the bartender as it was difficult to find staff in the bar. Pool was tiny and extremely cold, its ok to have a cold pool if there is a nice hot tub or sauna nearby or it is a lap pool to work out in but this pool was just sad. Overall, decent location and view, but overall this hotel did not live up to the four star hotel rating.

Driving from Norway to France, perfect stopover. Elegant hotel with great food, super breakfast buffet, swimming pool and sauna. Prettu spot wiyh great hiking nearby.

The view is super! Rooms are comfortable and spa- fitness are really pleasant. Breakfast is good, though I would have preferred more thorough cleaning when new occupants are seated. The dinner we had upon arrival was no high light to say the least. Reception staff are efficient and very helpful. Try to get a room facing the lake!

A nightmare
Although I had paid for the full amount of my stay, when we arrived to check in, the hotel could not find our reservation! So a miscommunication somehow between Hotels.com and the hotel! After an hour of haggling (even although I had my confrimation in my hand) they found a room for us and told us we still had to pay €600!! I had paid the reservation amount in full before our arrival. Eventually after much negotiation it was resolved. Only for the same issue to crop up again when we checked out! Again eventually resolved after a lengthy debate.

Excellent location on the lake and centre of town. Rooms are dated but fine. Worth paying for a lake view as the views are stunning. Only ate breakfast but it was very good. Didn’t use the facilities but there was a indoor pool, games room and bowling lane. The town is very touristy but closes down pretty quickly in the evening so ideal for a peaceful getaway but not if you want things to do at night. Only downside was the maids bang on the door at 9am so make sure you use the ‘Do not disturb’ sign if you want a lie in. There are also no tea making facilities so perhaps bring a travel kettle if this is something important to you. I think not having it made us want it more! The chocolate on the pillow each morning was a nice touch as well as the dressing gown provided.

Excellent location in the centre and lovely view from the room and resterarant . Fabulous breakfast. Nice beach for relaxation. Clean room. A bit overpriced. No tea or coffee in the rooms. Mattress was too soft. The table and chair in the balcony were not cleaned since a long time..

Location is very good, you can access the lake from the basement of the hotel as well. Quite centrally located in the town and very near to eateries and the lake for boat cruise around, which is free with hotel pass. Also a good base to explore the surroundings.ha d good trekking around the lake and also in the nearby forest area. Morning are quiet and peaceful.;within walking distance to bus stops from Freiburg and walkable to the Flixbus bus stop at the Badeparadies.. with the hotel card can also go to feldberg and ride the cable car for free. We bought room with breakfast and breakfast has a good spread. Good lesiurely stay. Condition of room is not new and no aircondition as well, we left the window open and luckily weather is quite cool so sleeping without blanket still not too hot.

Lovely place to stay
Lovely hotel right on lakeside with beautiful lake views. Paid 5euro for a card pass which allowed us to visit many places for free. Cable car, mini golf, lake trip on boat. Great value. Then your 5 euro was returned at end of your stay. Definitely recommend getting this. Only downside to the room was no kettle to make a cuppa.

Good traditional hotel
The hotel was perfect as a base for a short break. We were here in February and the frozen lake was beautiful. The hotel itself is a very traditional style and the rooms could do with a refresh if critical but otherwise we were both pleased. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the pool/sauna were good for a short relaxation. The tourist card was an excellent touch (not just for this hotel). We didn't use the restaurant for an evening meal but be aware that when we were there the whole town doesn't really serve food much past 9pm so plan this into your day. Overall we really liked this hotel and the surrounding area and the quiet hotel was a great place to unwind.

Great little restaurant in great location
Hotel room was beautiful with an amazing balcony overlooking the lake. The checkin was smooth and very helpful. As Titisee is predominantly a summer destination most of the restaurants in town were closed for annual leave we decided to eat at the bar. Unfortunately though I asked for a club sandwich without bacon it arrived with bacon pieces on the plate. The waiter told me it was to one side and to just ignore it.....why can the chef not listen to the customer? I understand that Germany mostly has restaurants with lots of red meat but some people don't eat meat for dietary or religious reasons, I believe this should be respected. The French Fries also had a smell of bacon from they and therefore inedible. The chicken in the sandwich was processed and tasted like sawdust. My husband only ate half of his beef burger and fries...it was totally tasteless. Suprisingly, breakfast was amazing with loads of variety for all tastes. The service at breakfast was also excellent. Overall we will definitely stay there again as we love the huge spa which is nearby. Great place for couples, friends, and singles.

Pleasant Lakeside Hotel
Enjoyed staying at Maritime Titisee-Neustadt Hotel. A few issues that would have improved the experience: 1) I booked two single (double bed) comfort rooms but there was only one double room ready when my friend and I arrived. I had to email my booking details to the hotel and then they sorted my friend and I with the appropriate rooms; 2) the local cards that gave you free or reduced entry to various local attractions which are issued and authorised by the hotel didn’t work for the first 2-3 days of our stay but were eventually sorted out; 3) we were given a code for the car park/ pool etc. and told it was good for the whole of Jan only to find it had been changed the first day of our stay. That said staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful. Things just seemed rather disorganised. And staff didn’t know much about local queries, e.g. entry to local pool, dining out, skiing options. All the basics were in place however and we enjoyed our break.

The hotel room overlooks very beautiful scenery. Excellent accommodation of high standard and very clean. Amazing breakfast selection. Beds very comfortable and spacious room with balcony. We had a wonderful stay here and will be back. Highly recommended.

Location on the Titisee was excellent. Rooms require updating for 4 star suite, but not too bad considering this is an older resort town. The breakfast was fantastic. The laundry service is excellent, but very expense - 70+ Euros for 6 shirts/sock pairs/underwear and 2 pants.

a shocking experience
1- the rooms are not clean need renovation 2- the old style heavy metal hotel keys 3- the old style TV box. not LCD or LED 4- the swimming pool and fitness are never touched since the hotel started 5- Breakfast was acceptable but juice was not always available, as well as bread 6- the bathroom is very old and need to be renovated 7- the whole hotel needs renovation 8- three hours after our check out, we received an email from the hotel claiming for 1500 euros compensation of a damaged carpet due to spills from a wine bottle. that room was our daughters' where the eldes was 15 years old and never drank wine. This case is still open!! 9-we do not recommend this hotel to anyone. be careful of the surprises!!!

Every day we are working on our philosophy to care our guests with our hospitality and comfort. Unfortunately, there are also those days when this is not possible for all guests. Your resulting impression of our home, we would like to apologize at this point. The Maritim Titiseehotel belongs to our company since 1988 it is in style and amenities certainly not comparable with our modern new homes in cities such as Berlin, Dresden and Düsseldorf. Of course, a new hotel has over an older home also contribute more to the advantage of fresh and contemporary too. Nevertheless, the age should be no excuse for a hotel you mentioned deficiencies in equipment. We are very upset about your comments and experiences with our room service. We're extremely sorry that we failed your right expectations in this regard and you did not received any direct apology from us. Dear Guests, unfortunately, today we could not change the things to be undone. We can only, once more, apologize sincerely for any shortcomings. Great breakfast buffet
Very nice hotel right on the lake. The buffet breakfast was the best we had of all the hotels we stayed at in Germany!

Not a good experience-- room was not clean- had flies all over the room. Hotel reception staff only gave excuses and did not offer even to switch rooms.

A reasonable hotel.
A bit of a 70s monstrosity, but with comfortable rooms, a good pool and gym area, a great buffet breakfast and a lovely location. The staff were friendly, and it's a nice little town, if somewhat touristy. It's not a 4/5 star experience though.

Fun family getaway
We enjoyed the paddle boating on the lake, hiking around the lake and swimming at the hotel pool. Shopping was fun and we even bought lovely fresh fruit at a nearby stand.

i don't think the people who worked there knew the area. i asked a few questions and they looked at me like i was crazy. the hotel was not worth the price i paid. i'm just glad i stayed there for one night. the hotel was on the edge of the main street which is not very long at all. i walked from one end to the other in 5 minutes. driving to the hotel might be a bit tricky. at first i felt like i was driving through a walkplatz because crowds of people were walking on the road and i was cutting through them. you can take a boat or rent one about 10 meters from the hotel. there's a number of restraunts and gift stores there. it's probably about 40 minutes from triberg which is where the waterfall is. the huge cuckoo clock. you can take a train to a few towns which i highly recommend. you can see beautiful parts of the black forest that you can't drive. going through the tunnels was amazing. the hotel gives you a ticket pass which was nice. breakfast was a bit too much on my budget

Lovely Lakeside Getaway
Titisee is a lovely little lakeside town in the Black Forest, and the Maritime is beautifully situated on the lakefront at the end of the main street. Everything you'd need for a relaxing getaway is within walking distance, and it's a lovely drive or train ride to get to many other Black Forest towns. The hotel hasn't been updated for a couple of decades, but this honestly doesn't take away from the charm at all. We were happily surprised to be given a double room - essentially two rooms with one set up as a bedroom and the other as a sitting room. Each room had a balcony, as well. Although the beds were small, they were comfortable. The shower stalls were on the small side but had great water pressure. The breakfast buffet was very nice, although there was some confusion about whether or not the breakfast was included with the room (it was, but check your reservation). The dining room overlooks the lake, and although we didn't eat dinner in the restaurant, the menu looked good. We did not take advantage of the spa services as we were out exploring the Black Forest, but I would definitely do this on the next trip! We would happily stay here again, hopefully in the warmer summer months.
