The hotel is full of history and the rooms are comfortable and quaint. Our bathroom was very clean and nice with a walk in shower with shower seat. Our room had a sink room just before the bathroom and the bathroom also had a sink which makes it nice for multiple people trying to get ready. The beds are on the firm side but still comfortable. Our room also had a nice long balcony that overlooked the golf course. Cons: There is a lot of beautiful pine woodwork which after many years has an old smell;so, yes, our room was a little smelly and the air conditioner unit was a little loud. I was wondering why on the reviews there was a painting of the hotel instead of an actual photo. Well, the reason is that the hotel is old and is in need of a little renovation especially on the exterior. The carpets could stand to be replaced, too. I found the interior to be a little dated (golf themed wallpaper in the bathroom, 50's style furniture), but yet quaint and the linens were nice. Our room had 2 double beds and the room itself was very spacious. We were able to find a good deal and feel the rate we paid was very fair for our room. Another small irritant was the clerk informed us upon check-in that the pool was closed to guests due to a golf camp. So, if enjoying the pool is important, be sure to confirm it is open to guests. Hope that helps!
