Old, jaded and faded. Showers are a disaster, not enough pressure. The location and the view were the only positive thing about the stay

The bell hop was terrific. Room service was quick and efficient and very friendly, and the room itself and the bedding was changed daily...very good. Our only issue was the bed frame, wherein one of the legs popped out. Good security on the premises, but we didn't like/understand why we had to wear wristbands (uncomfortable) the entire stay.

Horrible Experience and Hotel
The service was horrible the rooms are not as they appear tiles cracked couches old and torn sinks clogged no hot water to take a shower for 2 days. No communication. We were there to celebrate the new year and was kicked of the event for not having ticket. Not once was this mentioned to me at time of check in. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Highly recommend
This is a great place to stay! Private beach, great pools, clean facility, super friendly staff, great on site restaurants, reasonable priced... I was disappointed the water in the jacuzzi was cold. I hope next time the jacuzzi is working properly. Other than that, it was perfect! I can’t wait to return!

Location is perfect and beautiful hotel and kids pool but the shower was not very clean, shower curtain smells bad and long hairs in the bath top and in the floors, old and rustic shower caps, overall we like the room but bathroom need attention

Checkin I had to pay different price then told on phone when I booked the room. The sheets to the bed were dirty they had to come change them. The toilet was broke and bathroom was dirty.

TERRIBLE hotel. TERRIBLE service.
The photos do not match the description. This hotel looks as if it hasn’t had any maintenance since they opened. The housecleaning attendant turned my AC to the coldest setting and I didn’t notice until I woke up in the middle of the night with chills. Had to go to a doctor in Guaymas to get medication. I was sick all week. Also, cockroaches in my room (see photo). The “gym” has two treadmills and an excercise bike - none work. The weights are old and had been left outside. They all had rust on them. The “spa” was closed two days I was there and when I called the reception desk, they said they don’t know why they are closed and the hotel doesn’t own them, so not sure. When they finally opened, I got a massage. The lady had no idea how to properly give a massage. She drenched my entire body in oil to the point I was slipping when I got off the table. This place is absolutely disgusting.

Check in was disorganized didnt get room till about 6 pm when we got there at 3pm cause it wasnt ready rooms where average and had problems with toilet back up. Breakfast was good. Weird rules with only 8 beer cans allowed in cooler. Location was great beautiful views

Horrible experience, website claimed to be pet friendly we had to pay extra 300 so our service dog can stay with us and downgrade our room to a non sea view, dead animals around the property, broken furniture, no cold water in the shower, broken and missing tiles on pool (my kid got hurt) waiters was to busy on her social medial so we got bad services , stuff tip them self with letting you know , nice coffee maker in room was the cherie on top

Only go back after management change
AC thermostat was broken. Water faucet tripping. After request to fix refused. Either too hot or too cold. Water tripping kept me up all night. The only great service was they changed the sheets from previous guests on day two after my wife could see and smell feces on sheets. Pretty disgusting. No effort for remediation was made.

2 night stay in San Carlos
Please note that I was in the area for business, and I travel about 60% of the time for business. What I look for in a hotel — anywhere in the globe — quick and easy checkin, clean, modern room with convenient amenities such as USB outlets, easy to connect and strong WiFi, working heat and A/C, clean bathrooms, efficient check out process. This hotel did not check many of those boxes. Was it safe? Yes. Was it cleanish? Yes. Did AC work? Sort of. Was it modern? Nope. Was I disappointed? No. Was it bad? No. But I don’t think I’d go back.

We were happily surprised
Wecheck in was fast, the receptionist was very welcoming. Room had a great view , everything was new, furniture, kitchen , beds, bathroom remodeled. We'd stayed here off and on 20 or 25 years ago, and we were happily surprised they'veupdated all the rooms Elevators were fast, wifi was ok. Breakfast buffet was just ok, not worth the money. If you have a car go into San Carlos to Rosa's cantina: it's the best. Definitely would stay again. The price is right too.

The property itself was outdated and ran down. It’s located in a beautiful location with amazing views but the rooms are old and smelly. There were some days where the shower and sink water was running cold only. There was a live cockroach in our bathroom. The staff was very nice but restaurant service was very slow. Customers were walking out tired of waiting for their food (an hour to an hour and a half).The outside pools were not heated and all the outside bars and restaurant were closed. All the gym equipment except the weights were broken.

We had requested a wheelchair accessible room. They accepted our reservation but did not have a w/c accessible room. The bathroom door was very narrow & my husband's manual wheelchair could not fit through it! We asked to speak with the manager & I waited in the foyer for a considerable amount of time. A man, I presume was the manager came to the desk & spoke at length with the desk clerk but did not come to speak with me. Where is the great service we have come to expect when we have stayed there previously??? Won't be staying there again!

At check in we were told that room would be ready in a few minutes. We ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours. We waited in the lobby for an hour and a half and then we decided to have lunch at the restaurant. We placed an order of quesadillas, a shrimp coctail and a burger. Forty five minutes later we had our order with no condiments for the coctail. I didn't want my vacation to be ruined ao I just ate my food and left to check in again. Room was clean but a little run down. The view was good, I changed then visited the pool. No coolers are allowed in the pool area which is ok, as long as you are treated right. After being in the pool area for a few minutes and not finding a waiter, I walked to the outdoor bar and asked what beers they carried. The response from the bartender was "Ultra and Pacifico light but they are warm." I told the bartender that I like to drink regular (non light) beer but they could not help. I walked inside to another bar and they were able to serve regular beer. I purchased three from the bar and took them to the pool area. My wife wanted a little salt for her beer and I decided to ask for salt at the outdoor bar but they did not have any. First bar in the world without salt. There were many little things that just kept bothering me, the hotel has potential but management does not care. I was planning on staying there for a week but one night was enough to realize customer service is not one of their priorities. I wont even stay there if the room was free
