Bad weather stay made good!

Posted Jan 21, 2018
My husband had to have procedures during the hard freeze and I was worried about getting there. However, they have an awesome young man that is experienced driving in snow and ice from his native country! Got us there safe and on time and was sensitive to our needs getting in and out of the vehicle. Rooms always clean and restaurant really good. Staff always friendly!

Great staff, clean rooms, good restaurant. We are here during this freezing weather and a very friendly young man took us to the Methodist Hospital. Excellent driver he is an asset to this hotel! Stay here during my My MD visits and with my heart patient husband. Feel safe her and very quiet.

Old hotel with a lot of repair issues.

Posted Jan 6, 2018
If you stay here stay in the tower. The rooms my the pool and convention hall are creepy and smell. Very old hotel and was extremely nice when it was new. Just gave me an uneasy feeling staying here. I won’t stay here again.

Close to NRG Stadium

Posted Jan 3, 2018
Pros: closeness to stadium
Location: There are many choices of nearby restaurants, and NRG Stadium was walking distance. It was also easily accessed on a major highway.
We were in town for the Texas Longhorn Bowl game at NRG Stadium. It was bitter cold out, and it was a big plus to not only find out we were super-close to the stadium and that the hotel was as close as the Stadium parking lot, but also that we could walk half the distance to the stadium through the large conference hotel. We exited the back of the hotel, per staff instructions, and had just a very short walk to the stadium. It was much easier than stadium parking or Uber. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff was very friendly.

Close to NRG stadium

Posted Dec 28, 2017
Pros: location to NRG stadium
Cons: More staff
When I drove in to the lobby drive (it was Christmas day), there was a huge line of cars ahead of me attempting to check in. When I finally got to the lobby overhang, about 25 minutes, one of the hotel workers told several of us to pull forward and park, that was all, in the fire lane. I waited for more direction, none, took 20 more minutes to get through line to the desk, my reserved room was not ready, however, I could be move to another king sized room, I took it. Directions to the room were poor, there are mult. towers. Couldn't locate the room, 15 min., went back to the desk, I was told to follow the "red carpet to the end". no lie, about a 4 minute walk. No biggie, but there were no hotel employees on the 6th tower side, check in desk there closed. I found my room after going up a creepy creaky elevator to the 4th floor, this must be the old side. A lot of cosmetic work needed. Room was clean and nice though. The halls were huge/long, I truly believe I was truly the only guest on that floor. I felt like I was in an episode from American Horror Story, no twins appeared though. I watched the game at the stadium, , GO STEELERS. Back to the hotel pub, 20-25 minute wait for a beers . This hotel was unprepared for the amount of guests that arrived, under staffed for the holiday. Positive, the housekeeping team was awesome, and when I ordered some food to take to my room , only a 45 minute wait at the bar as opposed to 1 to 1.5 hours for room service, food was really good.

Excellent hotel near Reliant Stadium

Posted Dec 28, 2017
My wife and I chose this location for its proximity to NRG Stadium for the Texas Bowl. We walked to the game and enjoyed the game and walked back very easily.

Helpful managers

Posted Dec 28, 2017
I’m suffering from a broken ankle, and although check-in was crowded (Texas Bowl) and someone’s Car had been blocking the covered entrance for some time, one of the managers assisted me from the car & onto my knee scooter, and all the way to our room - quite some distance from the lobby, but at least I had help.

Nice hotel near the football stadium

Posted Dec 28, 2017
Pros: Staff were overall friendly and helpful. The beds were really comfortable, and the TV channel selections were good.
Cons: Parking lot entry could be wider; pedestrian needs have to be addressed. Large front doors could be easier to open. Drafts in room need to be fixed.
Location: Football stadium near. Restaurants and stores close by. Museum district in the area.
The hotel was easily visible from the highway. Nice location for our stay. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast dining was good; Did not wait in line long to get a table. On the second day of our stay, the draft coming in from balcony door made the room cold. Balcony door did not lock properly. We ordered room service for dinner and it took 3 hours to get our trays. By then we had already gone out to get food elsewhere. When we called to inquire about the status of our order, nobody at the kitchen answered the phone to help us. The beds were really comfortable. However, the room did not have a fridge.

The hotel is conveniently located but it is filthy. We found cockroaches in the closet and everything was dirty.
