Just off Interstate ... wrong place to stay

Pros: Absolutely nothing! I could not leave fast enough.
Cons: Bulldoze it and plant flowers.
Location: Not much.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've encountered! The description and picture stretch the truth. Lobby was fair but staff were relaxed. The bed was hard with cigarette burns in the sheets and cover. Zero room on the sink so we put our toiletries on the commode lid. Air conditioner ran all night with an increase in its' loudness when the compressor turned on. There was a TV, a microwave sitting on top of a small refrigerator sitting on the carpet. All three were plugged into an extension cord with four outlets also on the carpet. This one cord was plugged into a wall outlet 3 to 4 feet above the floor. The other one working outlet in the room had a floor lamp and table lamp plugged into it. Very unsafe! The phone was a shell with the phone wire connected to a wall outlet. All the guts had been removed. No possible way to make a call. The maintenance man for the night said they were in the middle of renovation after the hurricane hit 2 YEARS ago. Best thing for this hotel would be to raze it below ground level and plant flowers! DO NOT STAY HERE! Ten miles in either direction would be a better choice.

Pros: Pool bathroom
Cons: furnishings
Hotel is under new ownership. Pool is excellent. Furniture needs to be examined, two pieces were damaged in our room. Bathroom was excellent, tv was new. Breakfast was ok but could have used some fruit. It is a work in progress, and will probably be better in the future. There was a new outdoor cookhouse being built while we were there, rooms should have been upgraded first.

Rooms were decent. Wifi wasn't the greatest but it was manageable. Would stay again

Thank you for staying with us! We are an older property but we're working daily to make upgrades and renovations. Our wifi provider for the entire property is Spectrum (formerly Brighthouse). If there's ever an issue with connecting to wifi, there's an 800 number to Spectrum in the room and they can assist you in connecting your device. There's never a wait time with their tech support and they answer immediately!

Old furniture, old paint, old tub, 2 out of 5 light bulbs didn't work, was told due to my early checkout that I may not get my cash deposit back, but I did. Tub was so gross that I didn't shower during my 2 night stay. Was better than staying under the bridge.

We're disappointed that you were unsatisfied with your stay, however, this is the first we've heard of your complaints. We are an older property and working daily to improve and upgrade. We never inform guests that room deposits may not be returned. Room deposits are always returned unless there is damage or loss to the room. We give our guests the option of leaving their $25.00 in the form of cash or credit card as a convenience to our guests. Cash deposits are returned between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm.

Good price, hotel has its own restaurant and bar.

I experienced no issues here, got a great rate on Expedia, they have a pool and their own restaurant/bar although I didn't dine in here.

Front desk guy had quite the attitude with me. Such an ordeal to get a towel to shower and check out . Lady Manager overheard and was the kindest most understanding apologetic person ever and offered me one night , two nights , whatever i need to make up for what she overheard and how I was treated. The dust in room as lack of overall maintain cleaning was pretty bad:(. Quiet location though.

I had a really good stay the guy at the front desk it's can't say enough nice things about him he really helped me out in my time of need this fellow West Virginia native and he understood what I was going to as a traveler

My wife was afraid, based on some of the people staying at the motel, and the sheets looked dirty.

Although we are an older property next to the Interstate, we maintain a serious attitude about providing a safe environment for all of our guests and have therefore had no major issues.
