My stay

Posted Apr 16, 2017
I saw where they are updating soon. The room was very outdated. Nasty carpet, stained tub. Beds were very uncomfortable. We liked the beach access, and access to town. The courtyard was beautiful and the pool was very nice. If updated I would stay again

Great hotel across the street from Cocoa Beach!

Posted Mar 31, 2017
Pros: I liked the value of what you got versus what you paid the most. The closeness to the beach as well.
Cons: I wouldn't change anything.
Location: Besides the beach and pier, there are restaurants/bars, tours, rentals (boats, surfboards, bikes, beach chairs, etc...), surf lessons, and much more!
We got what we paid for and more. The room was clean and in good repair. We didn't pay for extreme comfort so we didn't expect it. We were able to sleep comfortably so that is all we needed. The hotel staff were friendly and always ready to help with requests, questions and suggestions. Beautiful Cocoa Beach was just across a dead end street, and the hotel ran a trolley back a forth to Cocoa Beach Pier which had beach rentals, shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms are two room suites with a full kitchen so you don't have to eat out the entire time. There is a king bed in one room, and the other room has a full bed and a double bed which fit our family of 5 perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place if you are on a budget.

Nice family hotel/apartment close to the beach.

Posted Mar 23, 2017
Pros: Full kitchens
Cons: Replac carpeting with tile.
Location: Restaurants and Ron Jon's within walking distance.
Easy to access beach front complex. Apartment style hotel so complete kitchen means you can have some meals in room. Needs to be updated but what can you expect from a place that close to the beach.

Great hotel close to the action.

Posted Mar 23, 2017
Pros: The hotel is very close to the beach and centrally located in Cocoa Beach. It is close to restaurants, shopping, Ron Jon's and the Pier.
Cons: It is sometimes difficult to get a BBQ so maybe a few more. Some of the BBQ are also getting tired.
Location: Close to the beach, shopping, Ron Jon's, restaurants. You are one hour away from Disney and Universal.
This was our second time staying at this hotel. We were placed in the last room at the very back of the hotel. We enquired about the possibility of getting another room. The front desk staff were very helpful and within a day, we were upgraded to one of the newly renovated rooms. The room was great. The new beds are very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will likely come back again next year.

Great location/ under construction.

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Pros: Heated pool, gardens, location & beach access. Trolley to Cocoa Beach Pier which was great!
Cons: Need better basic maintenance of rooms. Had old carpet, squeaky beds, running toilet. Westgate doing a beautiful remodel but has let older rooms go.
Location: Right in heart of Cocoa Beach! Near Ron Jon shop, restaurants, parks. Alvin's across the street is great for shirts & towels. Have their own trolley
Fantastic location/ pool/ beach access but resort under renovation so some rooms are well out of date. Resort was well located and the pool & gardens were beautiful but the first room we were put in hadn't been updated in 20+years. Westgate in process of a beautiful renovation but more could have been done to make those comfortable in the meantime. Staff was responsive upgrading us after issues with running toilet/ squeaky beds. This place will be spectacular after remodel but until then watch out rooms badly in need of update.

Great beach access

Posted Jan 4, 2017 on Hotels
Our family of 5 stayed 2 nights. It was a great space to spread out. The rooms are a little dated but they are in the process of remodeling. Wish the sofa would have been a pull out couch but overall it had what we needed. Great courtyard area for grilling and pool. Great access to the beach! Would stay here again and look forward to the updated rooms.

Needs a LOT of work

Posted Dec 18, 2016
I passed this place 3 times because it appeared closed for repairs. This is NOT a HOTEL or resort. It is a very run down MOTEL. Staff was great, however the accommodations were horrible! Definitely needs a LOT OF WORK!!!!

It is of deepest regret to learn that your recent stay with us was anything less than exceptional. It pleases us that our resort staff was able to make the appropriate accommodations. Our resort staff is always more than happy to do everything in their power to ensure your satisfaction. We are working very hard to update our resort entirely for our guests. It is our sincere hope that you do not let this experience deter you from visiting us again, and that you may grant us that chance to better impress you in the future.

Hotel was a little pricey for still being stuck in the 70's, but it did fit in with the Cocoa Bch experience. The beds were ok except they were so noisy, they made the loudest noise with the slightest movement!

Decent for the cost

Posted Dec 3, 2016 on Hotels
I've stayed here before, and it's nice if you need 2 bedrooms. There is a mini kitchen, small "family room," dining area and the 2 bedrooms. One block off the beach. Drawbacks are there is only 1 TV, and it's in need of some attention due to overall condition. Not bad for $130 a night, and very worth it if you have kids because of the 2 bedrooms. If your into seafood, go to Florida Seafood on the 520 just at the edge of the bridge in Cocoa Beach. Kinda like a Red Lobster, but the food is very good. Usually pretty crowded so go before 530 or after 830.
