The hotel looks ok a bit far from city center or beach, but you can not get any rest as on the oposite side of the hotel is a big steel manufacture running 24/7 and it is making terrible noisy and all the rooms are facing that big ugly building so dont expect any kind of view because you will be located in the industrial area of the city. While our staying we could not get a proper sleep at night because there was some sort of unit installed in the ceiling of our room that was making a loud noise all day and night and we could not stop that so we had to leave after 3 nights because we needed some sleep altought we paid to stay more.There is no way they could stop the running machine in the ceiling of our room. Terrible staying in Split will never go again. If you looking for a place to get rest at night find another hotel. However the hotel staff was very friendly, good speaking english and polite. Breakfast was ok not great not terrible. Hotel was clean.

Not located in the most scenic area Hotel As is a relatively easy walk into old down. The rooms are clean and well equipped and the reception staff were delightful. Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant had good food. There is also plenty of free onsite parking and a supermarket is just down the hill.

Hotel accommodation excellent and staff first class. Hotel is an easy 25 minute walk from the old town but there is a regular bus service to close proximity. The last 500 yards to the hotel is via an industrial area but there are no issues. There are a few bars and restaurants in close proximity and a major shopping center within a five minute walk. Breakfast adequate though pretty average with some delays in replenishing.

Hôtel located in the industrial part of the city. Easy access if you have a car, and ample parking. Very good breakfast buffet. Hotel is clean and new, rooms are a bit small, but comfortable

This hotel was out of the way and quiet. Great place if you don't want to stay in Old town but close enough to go down and enjoy the sights!

Great stay!
The staff were super friendly. I was travelling at night with two big suitcases but has spotted the note to say that there wasn't a lift at the property so the manager arranged that I could them overnight in his office. The airport transfer worked very smoothly as well. Reception even arranged to call a taxi to drive me to my apartment the next day. Really recommend!

We stayed one night on our way to Southern Croatia. The room was extremely clean and pleasant. We had everything we needed, so you can book this hotel without any doubt.

The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable and their breakfast is good. It was difficult for us to bring our luggage upstairs ourselves with no lift. The rooms are tiny but very clean.

Convenient, comfortable and friendly
Excellent service and very comfortable hotel. Area was industrial, but hotel was easy to find, parking was simple, it was near a supermarket and 15-20 mins on foot from centre of town - there were also buses. Stayed an extra night. Very good breakfast Would stay there again.

Considering the fair price (approx 650 Kuna) it was a very pleasant stay. The room was rather small, but it contained the things you need, at it was clean. Don't expect to much of the view, but it's close to the city centre and the ferries. The breakfast was good, without being something to remember (the orange juice wasn't real orange juice).

When we originally booked the trip, the map showed the hotel as 0.7 miles from the railway station. It was actually 3.2 miles! When we booked in we were given a room which was occupied! Then we were given a room in which the previous occupant smoked! We booked a non smoking room and expected to get one! As we were tired and wanted to settle down for the night, we decided to open all windows to see if we could air out the room. Fortunately it worked, so we decided to keep the room. So it wasn't the best start, but we made the most of our stay. The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was nice, but could have done with more healthier options.

Hotel As , is the choice when you are in Split
The hotel was very easy to find. Getting in and out of the ferry and bus station from the hotel is very easy, around 10 mins drive. The manager and staff are fluent in English and very helpful when we asked for help in arranging tours for us. The room is clean and they have a restaurant in the lobby. We will definitely come back and I highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is far from the main railway station. the website says 1 km but it is much more. very misleading. Need to take a bus to the city. nothing is within walking distance.

The Industrial Life
The hotel was about 30 minutes walk from the main area of Split. It was situated in an industrial area. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was ok. The bathroom was modern and had a full sized shower. The in room safe was small and there was no tea and coffee facilities. A bus service was close by and there was also a shopping complex nearby.

The Hotel AS was better than expected despite its location and unimpressive building, etc. Services, staff and breakfast buffet were all matched the price. The shower head holder was broken, TV had adequate English channels. About 10 min. walk to/from the bus stop felt way longer under the intense summer sun in the tree-less neighborhood. Take #90 bus to/from the center. Don't take a taxi in Croatia unless you know what you are doing or speak their language. The Hotel AS was worthwhile for what I paid.

OK if you hve a fire car or like a 30 minute walk
Hotel was pretty average and room one of the smallest I have stayed in. The most unimpressive thing though was the location: it seems to be situated in a industrial park opposite a factory making metal railings. The 25 minute walk into the tourist centre is interesting but not particularly pleasant because of the high levels of pollution in the hot weather.

Location poor, no hot water.
Hotel described as being near the city centre, but only if you get a taxi which is around £10 each way, it's in the middle of a shipping yard industrial estate which is not the quietest of areas, we had no hot water for our 1st day and night and also found a cockroach in the room, we complained to the manager and Expedia who then refunded us and we moved to a different hotel, if you are visiting split to see the sights do not use this hotel as it will cost you more in taxi fees, we moved to a lovely family run hotel in the city centre which was perfect.

Good for a stopover
We stayed a night in Hotel As to make getting the catamaran to Bol the next day easier. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff helpful and attentive. The only bad points are that they don't have a lift and the location. No lift isn't too bad as I think it's only two stories, but it's a good half an hour walk to the centre. There is a bus stop about five minutes down the road that goes straight to the centre that costs 10 Kuna.

We were backpack traveling in Croatia and we chose this hotel because it was in our budget. Hotels near beaches would have been much more expensive. Hotel As is nothing special but definitely does the job. Our room was clean but air conditioning didn't work properly so it was a bit warm to sleep (in July). Location is not in the heart of the city but it's still in walking distance (cab costs about 50 kn). Staff was helpful and friendly.

stanand clean interiors. Location not very attractive but sufficed, at least 25minute walk to centre. staff very unhelpful. Our biggest issue was a problem we had with the airconditioning in our room which we couldnt get to work. It took us 3 trips down to reception to eventually get changed to another room. We just wanted someone to come up and see if we were doing something wrong but the girl at reception was not interested and quite rude. She kept saying to wait and give a chance to work (not the kind of service you would expect especially when its very hot and you want to go to bed!)The next morning while checking out another receptionist challenged us about it saying that it didnt work because the window wasnt closed properly! All we needed was for the other receptionist to come up the previous night to sort that out for us rather than us having to go to the hassle of changind rooms! Breakfast was pretty poor also so i wouldn't be recommending this hotel at all. This was the worst value accommodation we had in all our travels in croatia.

Nice hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. It was a bit far out of the main tourist area for my taste, I always needed a cab to go into town. If you have your own car, this hotel would be ideal.

Excelente estadía en Hotel As. No es el hotel mejor comunicado con el centro de la ciudad pero sin embargo tuvimos una muy grata experiencia, el personal muy amable, la habitación espaciosa e impecable, y un perfecto descanso. Se puede ir a pie sin problemas al centro de la ciudad.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und haben nur eine Nacht im Hotel verbracht. Es ist sauber, die Mitarbeiter sind nett und das Frühstück war auch okay. Direkt nebenan ist ein großer Supermarkt. Leider ist es eine halbe Stunde zu Fuß von der Altstadt entfernt (bei Mittagshitze eine Herausforderung) und die Zimmer waren sehr klein und etwas dunkel. Für 1-2 Nächte würden wir wiederkommen. Wenn ein richtiger Strand- und Stadturlaub geplant ist, dann würde ich dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen.

We had a really nice stay! Hotel was nice and renovated and had a beautiful smell all over the hotel! There was no elevator but doesn’t matter as the hotel has only 2 floors. All the staff was really really friendly and helpful! Clean rooms, provided with clean towels every day! Breakfast was good (better than a 4* hotel in Zagreb - overall breakfasts in Croatia needs a bit upgrade). They also have a restaurant, the food was really tasty, well cooked and good prices

i would be surprised. It's better than I expected for the price. The description on the internet is realistic. We needed accommodation for one night. We arrived at night, were able to park easily and were welcomed very friendly. The breakfast is good. What you should know: No elevator (2 floors), narrow showers, no sea view. 4* at the price!

Etwas abseits vom Zentrum ..
Das Hotel ist liegt abseits des Zentrums, aber ruhige Lage und gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Genügen Parkplatz und für mich als Bahnreisender auch perfekt, da nur 8 Minuten Fußweg vom Bahnhof Split-Predgarde. Von hier fahren auch regelmäßig Züge zum Hauptbahnhof und die Fahrt dauert rund 4 Minuten. Im Hotel gibt es auch ein Restaurant mit einer reichhaltigen Speisekarte und Frühstücksbuffet. Erwähnenswert auch das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal.
