I stayed for 15 nights, so I really got to know Irina and Split and the surrounding area. I recommend staying at least 6-7 nights when you go, because you can take the ferry and island hop to gorgeous places besides Split. The food everywhere was incredible, and I don't say this lightly as we have a house in southwest France, and I travel a lot. The people in Split were kind and friendly. I don't speak any Croatian, but that was not a problem. Everyone in the restaurants, shops and bars speak English.
Irina, the owner of the 3 apartments, which are in a perfect location in Old Town and close to everything, is absolutely amazing and genuine. She met me and took me to the apartment and helped me with my bags. She helped me with taxis, get a Covid-19 test for when I left to go to Germany & France, helped me when I hurt my knee, and was just a really good to me in every way. I will never forget her kindnesses to me. My husband was not allowed to leave the USA & come with me because of Covid, so I was traveling by myself.
Everything is so wonderful in Split and the area, that I did not have one problem while I was there for 15 days. It is safe, clean and AMAZING. I am going to go back next year with my husband.
I did not cook while I was there. I ate out for dinner and bought some things at the local grocery store for breakfast. There was a small refrig. & a 2 burner Bosch cooktop, but no microwave. Plenty of hot water, and the A/C worked great! Come here! :-)
