Excellent hotel and great location in the old town. The room is spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was the best and high quality food was ordered and delivered to our table. The restaurant staff was great. Highly recommended

Great location but a bit hard to find once the taxi dropped us off. We should have called the hotel to get details ahead of time. The staff were beyond helpful once we arrived. We especially love the dining room staff. We were able to walk to everything. Split is such a beautiful city. And we ate at great restaurants.

Nice, comfy hotel near a lot of restaurants. Nice bathroom and mattress. My mother and I stayed during the off season and were some of the few guests. They upgraded our room, which was very nice. The included breakfast was lovely as well.

The hotel and staff were excellent. The restaurant where you have breakfast is also open for lunch and dinner and was excellent. They are located right in the heart of the old city.

Excellent hospitality! The room was perfect with many luxurious amenities. The location was just what we wanted, right in the middle of Old Town Split. Our daily breakfast was a great way to start our day, too.

What i loved about Marmont Hotel is that it is offers luxury and comfort that was perfect for a rainy day! There were so many shopping areas nearby and restaurants that are just walking distance away!

The location was wonderful. Walking around was easy and many attractions were just steps away. The breakfast was incredible with many items to choose from. I appreciated that there was a coffee/tea maker in the room as I arrived late and it was nice to have a hot drink.The one thing I did not like about the property was that the towels and bathrobe were scratchy as in not soft but that is a minor issue

Convenient location for ferry transit and old city
This hotel is convenient for early morning ferry transits and if you want to hang out in the old city. We paid over $400/night for each room and certainly, it deserved no better than $100 at best. The rooms are dark. Furniture, drapes, something from another era. There is no service. No room service, concierge, information, any service. They can't even help you to buy ferry tickets to Hvar. No help on restaurent recommendations. Zero help. The restaurant service is friendly. Food is average. House keeping (we didn't have my room serviced). I would not return. Too many other choices.

Great Hotel in City Center
This hotel was great. It's in the middle of the Old Town so you are just a few minutes walk from the waterfront, Diocletian's palace, and Marjan Park. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful and check-in was a breeze. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. WIFI worked great for the entire trip. Breakfast was included in my room rate and it was outstanding. There are a number of different menu options and the amount of food is incredible. The restaurant is also a great place for coffee or dinner with a piano player on most nights. The staff at the restaurant was excellent. Kent at breakfast and Mate in the evenings - both outstanding employees. I really recommend this hotel in the Split city center.

We were warmly greeted by Ivana. She was so friendly, courteous and accommodating. She went above and beyond. Ivana gave us a great feeling checking in. Unfortunately we didn’t see her during our stay, but the staff is great. We dealt mostly with brunette Maria who was also wonderful and very accommodating. There are things that need work on the property. The prepaid breakfast was not good and the kitchen was very slow in preparing a simple fried egg and dried out prosciutto. The rooms need updating, and the brand of amenities should be upgraded. There were other issues with hot water, ac and lights going off. I give the hotel a high score for the location and outstanding service which is very important to us, and we would gladly return.

Absolutely Worth the Price
Our stay here was absolutely perfect! The location is incredible for easily exploring Split on foot, the room was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was a highlight of our entire time in Europe. If you drive the parking spot is a couple blocks away and potentially hard to find but the staff sent really great instructions in advance and made sure it worked for us.

What a great little place! The standard room was nice for two people. The front desk usually acted as concierge, and were always polite, attentive, and super helpful. The breakfast was excellent, for such a small place, they gave a selection of options as opposed to a buffet, but the options were top quality. We'd really recommend the Marmont to anyone that asks.

Great property and staff with a great location
My room was quiet and clean, and the staff at check-in and in the restaurant were very nice and helpful. I tried several dishes in the restaurant, and they were all good and well presented. The guest piano player was a nice and relaxing touch. It can be tough for the restaurant staff to manage because there are not only hotel guests but many people in the old town just walking by who want to eat, with only so many tables available, however as a hotel guest I was always taken care of. Several mornings I had an early start and a tight schedule to go on excursions, and the staff prepared my breakfast very quickly and even a bit ahead of scheduled hours, ensuring that I had breakfast before I started my day, especially coffee!!! This was a huge help and much appreciated. Good service is clearly understood by all of the staff. Finally, I encourage anyone who stays at the hotel to look up who exactly was Marshal Marmont, and to take note of the historical figure's busts in the corner of the restaurant and in the main lobby. It may seem obvious that you are surrounded by history in Split, but there is some hidden wisdom and good life advice for everyone in that corner and throughout the hotel if you look carefully. I am confident you will enjoy your stay, but I thought it was really clever to see those little reminders to always walk around with your eyes OPEN. Thanks again to all the staff for a great stay.

Hotel was very nice & clean, great location in Split old town, room spacious and well equipped with espresso machine for your morning coffee, shower was big and water pressure excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the staff are very friendly.

ideal location, really nice quality and hotel layout, staff friendliness and genuine willingness to help was way aboe and beyond, breakfast wait staff was awesome

Nice hotel with a great location close to Diocletian’s palace. The service was amazing. We were directed right to our parking spot.

Wonderful accommodations
This hotel is wonderful. Staff is helpful and very friendly. 2nd floor rooms struggle with A/C and wifi. 3rd floor has great A/C and wifi. We will always stay here when in Split!

Wonderful!!
Beautiful building, great location and friendly staff! Don’t underestimate the power of A/C and an elevator (both of which this hotel has!) in the summer! Front seat staff was extremely friendly and helpful! They also prepared excellent to-go lunches because we missed breakfast for early excursions. We’ll be back, and we’ll definitely stay here!

Must Stay Here
This is THE place to stay in Split. The hotel is beautiful in every way. Nothing dingy or old. Every tiny detail and appointment is cared for. The staff is beyond helpful. This is same service (or better) as any high end five star American hotel. Breakfast is wonderful and fresh. Piano player in lounge is talented, diverse, and fun!
