When we entered ten mins. before actual check-in time, we were told to come back, in two hrs., when the rooms would be cleaned and ready. They said they were, unfortunately, behind on house-keeping, please be patient, etc. We went to lunch, shopped a little, and came back four hrs. later.
There were at least five people trying to check-in, before us--all of whom have reserved their rooms online, as we did, and there was only one, young receptionist trying to get everyone through. None or our reservations existed. They'd been over-booked. All other hotels and motels were booked. VERY few people maintained their tempers, but the girl hung through it.
As it turned out, the business ownership had abruptly changed only a few days before and the computer system had ALSO changed, and the new owners/management kept dodging assisting the poor girl at the desk. Bailed out on her several times, when she'd call for help, figuring out the new computer system. Pretty nasty place to be in!

We apologize for the inconvenience. The transition was a bit abrupt and did not leave the staff or management with much time to get ready for a sold out weekend. It's no excuse but we appreciate your patience. Our hotel is being upgraded and all initial transition road blocks have been cleared up. We hope to see you again. And we appreciate your input.
