Clean, quiet, restaurants nearby, close to the highway but road noise was negligible. However, they will ask for your credit card, even if the room was pre-paid. They say it is to cover incidentals or damage to the room, and the card will not be charged unless there is a need for it. Wrong! They put a $100.00 charge on your card and list it as "Pending". They insist the charge will drop off in a couple of days if the room and contents are undamaged, but they can't do it at the motel, because the credit card company now has the charge and "they" will take care of it. I was not happy about this! I even had Housekeeping inspect the room before checking out so there would be no surprises on my card. A waste of time. But after four days the "pending charge" was dropped. This was the first time in 40+ years of traveling that a motel charged a Damage Fee and actually put it on my account before I even entered the room. It all worked out in the end, but you should watch your card every day like I did to make sure this extra charge actually is dropped. If you pay cash, you'll need an extra $100 for a Damage Deposit, or you won't get a room.
