One night in West SpringfieldPosted Nov 23, 2015
I have stayed at many Hampton Inn's across the country. This one is not my favorite. The hotel itself is ok but a bit run down. The rooms were immaculate but you can tell it is an older hotel. The two biggest issues I had were 1) the location. It is super convenient; however, it is on a busy road near shopping so the noise level was pretty high until ten o'clock at night. I have stayed at hotels in Times Square and heard less noise than I did at this one. 2) We were given an ajoining room. The people in the room next to us were so loud I could hear there conversation word for word. We had to be up really early the next morning and after waking my daughter up for the third time at eleven pm, we wound up switching rooms. The staff was very kind about it but you really should not be able to hear an entire family's conversation /fighting in your room. Bottom line for the amount of money the room cost, I expect not to hear my neighbor. If noise does not bother you, then this hotel is perfectly acceptable.

Visiting relatives in Springfield areaPosted Sep 19, 2015
Pros: Staff was friendly, place was clean and quiet, parking was good and location was good and met our needs. Room met all our needs.
We have stayed at other hotels/motels along Route 5 (Riverdale Road) in years past. Wife grew up in the area and has many relatives there. But quality was going down hill on those. Last year we were in Springfield for major car show and noticed a lot of show cars at the Hampton Innn so we thought we would try it this year. Staff was very friendly, everyone we encountered. Room was clean and nice. The unit we had was handicapped accessible for my wife, she enjoyed the ability to sit and shower. Very quiet in our hallway despite Inn filling up with Eastern States Expo visitors. We liked the proximity to the shopping mall with restaurants and stores. Breakfast was good, and the solarium seating to eat breakfast was a nice touch.

In Ordnung für einen kurzen Zwischenaufenthalt.Posted Sep 4, 2015

Staff made this a great stayPosted Aug 25, 2015 on Hotels
Rooms were clean, spacious, and well appointed. Breakfast was well stocked and staffed. The two employees that were working in the area were friendly and when we asked for suggestions of places nearby to visit- they gave us a crash course in all the great sites within the area. We followed their advice and had a great day. Their cheerful attitudes made a perfect note before check-out and left us with a great impression of the hotel.

Great result for late bookingPosted Jul 20, 2015 on Hotels
Booked this at the last minute for a fair price, as the Berkshires where we had been, seemed to be down to overpriced fleabags. We got in quite late, and I worried we would get a lousy room, but other than one dirty spot high on a wall, the room was in great shape, with a very comfortable King bed. The staff was very friendly, even though we arrived after midnight. I think the Hampton Inn free breakfast, with bacon, eggs, waffles, and better cereals, yogurts, and pastries is better than most, and even though it was busy and we arrived just before they finished, the buffet was stocked and clean. Just one night, but this hotel was a great pick.
