Roomy Rooms Except Bathroom near Downtown

Pros: It has rooms for larger families.
Cons: It doesn't have a hot tub. The bathrooms need to be larger.
Location: Close to Interstate 91 but near downtown which makes it convenient to museums, Basketball Hall of Fame, etc. Dunkin Donuts is across parking lot.
This nice motel in downtown Springfield is one of the few hotels that has 2 beds and a sofa bed or has room for a roll-away bed which works well with teenage boys and girls. But the bathroom was very small (one at a time). The pool, small game room, and small business center are appreciated features for families and business persons. The Breakfast with several hot items available is very nice.

Terrible experience

Pros: Conveniently located to everything. Free parking. Descent breakfast
Cons: Cleanliness and customer service
Location: Close to the Eastern States Exposition Center, restaurants and shopping a short drive away.
We checked in to a cold room. The window unit was blowing outside air in the room and it was 20 degrees out. Called the front desk for help and was rudely dismissed. Asked for extra blankets and was told there was none available and not to ask for pillows either. We had to sleep with our clothes on. Our room was filthy. Hairs all over the bathroom and toilet. Peanuts on the floor by the beds. Room hadn’t had a good cleaning in a while. Spent a lot for a one night stay in a room with 2 queen beds. No shampoo or conditioner in the room. Only 2 washcloths to go with the 4 towels. When my niece went down to ask for shampoo she was told there wasn’t any. The desk clerk turned to the other and made a comment about being tired of people asking her for stuff. I’ll admit the hotel was very full and busy, however that’s what they’re there for. Felt like staff was overwhelmed and didn’t want to handle any more requests.

Scary as hell ordeal

If you enjoy having random people barge into your room with a key that they issued at the front desk, this is the place for you. Such a scary situation with three kids in tow. Thank GOD we had chain on the door, but the guys that tried getting in were very aggressive citing that they had a key for the room that was issued at the front. Now, I called downstairs immediately thinking they would say that they did not and that they would call the cops right away, but the staff fessed up that it was a mistake. As if that wasn't enough, that same night (closer to 1 am) there was a brawl in the hallway where two guys were threatening to knock each other out. Here we were calling front desk again. The staff came up and tried to quickly deescalate the issue, but by then I just wanted out. We were given a refund for the night, BUT, if you want less drama, this may not be the hotel for you.

My hotel room was never fully cleaned each day.

For the price of the rooms, the rooms should of been cleaner.

Close to hospitals

There for personal emergency reason. Was treated with respect. Room was nice. Close to both hospitals. Easy check out. Would definitely go back again.

Large Hotel

Large hotel so should have realised it would be busy over the weekend. Check in was the speediest ever with Receptionist seeming to want rid of me & gave me no information about the hotel & facilities just received the keys!! Room was spacious with the comfiest bed out of the last 9 days hotels on our New England Road Trip. Didn’t use the pool as very busy as children’s sports team staying but thankfully put in room on high floor away from them. Breakfast very busy but well stocked & great sausages. First La Quinta experience & would definitely stay in one again.

Great value and location

Pros: Everything- we had no negative issues whatsoever
Rooms are big, with refrigerators, and clean! Convenient location- didn't experience the breakfast as Dunkin Donuts is conveniently next door-

Great Hotel

Pros: Good price, convenient to downtown Springfield; dinner that can be ordered at the bar is very convenient. Staff very helpful. Room excellent.
Looking for a one-night stay to attend a conference and this hotel was a gem. Could have stayed longer with much comfort.
