The breakfast half of B and B was lacking
Posted Oct 24, 2016
We have stayed at many types of B and Bs as well as Inns, and we were disapppointed with the breakfast, which was served on a grand piano with a counter around the perimeter and barstools. This was a cool way to use a piano, but the room is too small and awkwardly laid out. The silverware (in a tray from a kitchen drawer), dishes and glasses were laid out on top of the piano, with no doilies or towels and it looked unsanitary. The 1st day a young man cooked some delicious eggs and bacon, but the rest of the meal was self service. Bread, butter, maple syrup, etc was left out in the full size costco packaging along with some open boxes of cereal. The 2nd morning a very nice young man tried to cook eggs ..... a new box of cereal was poured on top of older cereal in a big glass jar on top of the piano. It was not possible to reach this jar or use the toaster when other guests were sitting at the piano. The young women, which I think was Naomi, looked as if she just stepped out of bed in her sweats and socks taming her uncombed hair as she handled the food.
I saw responses to these types of complaints that were answered defensively. These types of things do not cost money to correct, oranganizing the area and keeping food in proper containers for service is a matter of time and effort.
