So I booked this on a whim. Was staying in Springfield for business for one night. The first room I was given was not clean. Stuff on the doors, rug and the bathroom cabinets. It was pretty bad, and I'm a bachelor.
I mentioned this to Timothy, who was working the hotel bar, and he quickly hooked me up with an upgrade to one of their Jacuzzi suites. This room was much cleaner. Comfortable bed. Huge hot tub in a separate room with a big TV. It was like a completely different place.
The bar/diner was good. I had the complimentary breakfast, which is prepared to order. The Route 66 stuff in the hall is interesting. Front desk staff was friendly.
Hotel property itself is.... interesting. Carpet in the halls has seen better days. Speaking of, the rooms all open to a hall along the exterior of the building. And there are full-length window glass where there isn't a door. The rooms have no proper windows to the outdoors, so I guess that they were trying to get in some natural light, but that was a real choice.
I'd stay again in the suite for the right price.
