“Room was like stepping back into the 50s it was clean and the bed was comfortable but the pillows were hard. Decor looked more Florida than mountains. Front office was a mess. Lady at front desk was more interested in arguing with person on phone about grass being unkempt than checking people in until male came in and spoke to her in another language she then hang up quickly and began checking people in. Like I said though it was a clean room with a comfortable bed.”

“Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations.……

“The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had what we needed when we arrived, including making sure we had access to the private parking away from shop/restaurant traffic. We dropped our equipment rental at Beech and rented direct from White Wolf when we arrived which was excellent service and convenient allowing us to skip the lines at Beech and walk right onto the slopes from the rental. Just an easy 1/4 mile walk. The restaurant and shop are great and super convenient when you’re staying in……

“Host was very nice and helpful. This place was exceptional. The views were outstanding from almost every room. It was very clean and well cared for. The outside of the property could use a little work but the inside was perfect. We had nine family members meet here for a get-together and it was enough to accommodate everyone. I recommend this place highly.”
