Global towers is a good hotel value but does have

Pros: The rooms are very spacious our two bedroom suite came complete with the kitchen refrigerator etc. but was not very glamorous. The furniture was old
Cons: The entire hotel needs to be modernized
Location: Location is not great that's why they created Uber
The hotel is a very friendly staff with an OK restaurant OK pool and good location and is on Marine Road next to the beach. The rooms are dated but it does have full cable television HBO Cinemax etc. the big issue we found was that it sits next to a railroad track with very noisy trains going back and forth every 15 minutes loaded with passengers hanging out the doors and windows. A scene right out of Slumdog millionaire. The noise of the train permeates through the night so sleeping becomes a little difficult unless you live in New York City and are used to the sirens 24 hours a day. The area of the hotel is located is not the greatest but getting around is easy enough using Uber which is incredibly cheap. Forget the hotels limo or car service it's five times the price of Uber. So if you're looking for a cheap value with lots of room this is a good choice but don't expect too much. This is three-star at best

Ok hotel!

Rigtig fint hotel, men mangel/ingen på køkkengrej og ikke så mange seværdigheder tæt på hotel. rigtigt at det er tæt på stranden, men ikke en flot strand.

Zimmer war dreckig, Dusche nicht brauchbar. Angestellte sind nett. Hotel ist höchstens für eine Nacht okay.

1st time bad experience since 8 yrs

Pros: none
Cons: everything
Location: close to the beach. Galle road is nearby.
I am a regular visitor to this property for last 8 yrs. Now things have turned worst. since no co-ordination amongst mangmnt things have gone bad. GM has quit and nobody to listen. Very Very bad experience and highly priced which is not worth.

A Bad Experience

We checked in about 8pm. The manager advised that he only had one room left. Originally we organised to stay for two nights. However we had only paid for one night and we checked out 9am the next morning. The bathroom was dirty, mould behind the door and all over the shower area. Ants were crawling over the sink. At 4am there were door slammings and loud voices and then again at 6am. Never again would we stay at this hotel and recommend any one tempted to stay here check the room first.

Dissapointing

Pros: Staff were excellent.
No hot water for three days, Train line immediately outside with every train blasting its horn as it enters the station. Cleanliness is excellent however the hotel is in need of updating as very tired.
