Oase der Ruhe, wunderschöner Pool-BereichPosted Mar 21, 2016 on Hotels
Sehr schönes Frühstück, sehr schöner Garten u Poolbereich Sehr persönliche und freundliche Atmosphäre und guter Service, wobei Service bei Restauration etwas weniger effizient als in den anderen Bereichen.

Relaxing HotelPosted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Service was outstanding from our initial greeting, the restaurant, room service to our bungalows. The pool was lovelier than the photos!
Cons: Warning about your Expedia bookings - Expedia will add an extra "guest fee" even if you are two adults within the occupancy range of the room. Refund!
Location: Location is beautiful yet somewhat out of the way of 3 out of 4 of the ancient ruin sites. It is close to Anuradhapura only.
Our stay at Uga Ulagalla was by far the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. Far from the busy roads and honking buses this multi acre property was an oasis. Bungalows are situated all over the property, some with private plunge pools. Rooms are large with an entry way, living room, dressing area, oversized bathroom and bedroom. The food was delicious with a variety of entrees between Western and Sri Lankan. The Sri Lankan food was outstanding. Arrival greeting and check-in is friendly, relaxing and low key. You are met in the lobby area of a beautifully restored old Dutch home. The restaurant is upstairs on the second floor - completely open to the surrounding views. Transportation around the large property is by golf cart or bicycles. Every bungalow is provided the requested number of bicycles. Our children happily explored the grounds at their leisure. There are multiple activities available to you and your family from nature walks to kayaking. Cost: it is not an inexpensive place to stay. Good service and attention will cost you more. However, on the subject of meals: meals are costly (lunch and dinner), and prices rival a fine dining restaurant in San Francisco or New York (US$ 28-35/entree), but don't quite match the quality for that price. A little steep for the middle of Sri Lanka.

First resort I have rated as a 5Posted Mar 6, 2012
Pros: The tranquility of the resort and staff friendlyness
Cons: The resort bikes need a service just to keep them in tip top condition
Location: Great location, so much space, only time we saw any neighbours was in the restuarant and the bar.
This is the first resort that I have rated as 5 overall. The resort was fantastic, the villa were clean, well stocked and very comfortable (we even had the extra bed for our daughter and there was ample room. Service by all the staff was fantasic, from arrival and the welcome ritual all the way to checkout. The buggy drivers were good, knowledgeable about the restort and the wildlife and very curtious, when delivering luggage or transporting us. If there was a complaint, its a long drive from the airport, so plan a stop on route and the bikes are getting old so could do with a service but work great.
