Lovely hotel near the golf course and beachPosted Mar 19, 2018
Pros: Large airy noms well equipped
Cons: This hotel is just like a home from home. Warm welcoming and comfy.
Location: Very near the golf course and beach but only a short walk from the shops.
Booked this hotel while out daughter had an interview for a post grad course at St Andrews uni. Wonderful hotel, pleasant staff, rooms were large quite and well equipped. We didn't eat at the hotel but menu's looked enticing. Lovely position near the golf course and West Sands beach so some great walks were had. Also not far from the main streets so easy walking to anywhere really.

Comfortable with some limitations.Posted Dec 13, 2017
Pros: Comfort and location
Cons: Internet and television channel choices
Location: Restaurants, the university and interesting walking.
The room was excellent, comfortable and well set up. Breakfast was pleasant and well served, But, the internet was frequently unavailable and the television in our room anyway had no news channels. Other than that, the hotel was perfectly located, close to the University and good restaurants and with a lovely view of the sea. The pluses easily outweighed the negatives.

Lovely hotel but bad restaurantPosted Oct 19, 2017
Pros: The position and the decor
The hotel is in a great position. The rooms were very nice and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately the overall experience was spoiled by a few issues. Firstly, the service at breakfast was very slow. There was only one waitress on duty. The porridge was inedible as it was so salty. As the weather was bad, we decided to eat in the grill on our second evening. We ordered a bottle of wine at the same time as our food. The food arrived quite quickly but, although we ate as slowly as possible, the wine didn't arrive until we'd nearly finished our meal! it was apparently locked away and our waitress didn't have access!! Totally unacceptable. Also, we were staying for 2 nights but our room was not made up on the second day, These things were very disappointing for what was, otherwise, a lovely hotel.

Great place close to the Old CoursePosted Oct 18, 2017
The town of St Andrew's is a beautiful place to visit especially if you are a golfer. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to the 18th hole. Centrally located in town everything is but a few minutes walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Great views, shabby but cozy old place, decent food, probably the best choice for the area.

Small bedroom with small double bed. Confusion over newspaper order. Also no bar open to create good hotel atmosphere ! Nice staff and good breakfast .
