Disappointing

Pros: The beach was nice.
Oceanfront terrace view spoiled by huge, Very Loud, ugly pool system. Too loud to sit on terrace. No restaurant or lobby due to construction. Elevator out of order. Coffeemaker in room didn't work. Next day fixed but only decaf coffee, went downstairs for regular coffee, got decaf again! Icemaker in hall and pool system made room noisy.

Nice time at St Augustine

Great time, beautiful Oceanfront room. Everything in the room is brand new, I mean everything. Even a Kourig coffeemaker. This hotel is currently going a major renovation (which is a good thing), but did not affect our stay. Will definitely come back in the future.

Remodeling. Don't stay here

Close to beach which was nice. No shower curtain. Lights did not work. Very unkempt.

Terrible for the price

It would have been great if it was not under construction. It was definitely not a $200/night hotel. It would have been great at $70/night.

Poor appearance

Hotel looked horrible when you pull up and roof leaking when walking into the makeshift office. I almost walked back out but the room was in good condition, pool beautifully kept up, and great location for the ocean. No food. At least the tiki bar is open. Did not get the ocean view I signed up for. Can barely see the ocean from the corner of the balcony.

vacation

Pros: pool, beach
Cons: have a lobby with gym ,offer breakfast.
Location: nice area for quiet vacation but far if your looking for northern area of Jacksonville.
Nice pool ,close to beach,no lobby(under construction)definitely overpriced for what it offers.

The location is awesome.

Pros: Beach access was good. The staff is working at a huge disadvantage because of the facility.
Cons: To much to mention
Location: You would probably need a car to do anything except swim.
The staff was courteous and helpful. However they are working out of one of the guest rooms. We were meeting friends here but with no lobby it was kind of embarrassing. They have no restaurant or any source of food except candy, snacks and a pop machine. So all meals we had to leave the motel. On at least two occasions we had cold showers, not warm enough to steam up the bathroom mirror. I understand this construction has been going on for over a year. I read over the review on Expedia and it wasn't mentioned until the very end of the article. If I could say something positive, the towels were perfect. It is also an older building that has not been updated very much. Our room had areas that had paint on the walls, but never completed the job.

Hotel stay

Great location. Great pool area. Hotel should have notified Expedia that they were under construction. Somewhat disappointing, as many amenities were not available. However, when the hotel is reopened, after construction, i am certain that this will be a great experience.

Under Renovation; will be AWESOME

Highly recommended-staff-office/housekeeping/maintenance- really friendly, helpful, professional. This hotel will be awesome when the renovation is completed. Even so, our stay was enjoyable. Easy access to beach; nice pool.

Black Mold

Found a significant amount of exposed black mold in the bathroom. I was coughing all night and did not see it until the following morning when I went to take a shower. Hope there will be no long term issues since being exposed to the black mold. The staff switched me to a new room and credited the first night. The hotel is under construction and not clean at all.
