Cockroaches on ceiling, see through wallsPosted Jul 6, 2016
Cons: Get rid of the cockroaches, sound proof the rooms, clean the pool and finish the carpet in the hallways.
We did not get any sleep. The walls were so thin that we could hear every word the neighbors on both sides were saying. We could actually see light all across the top of the wall from the neighbors room. When we got up in the morning there was a giant cockroach on the ceiling right above our bed. It proceeded to crawl into a hole in the ceiling where it apparently lived. Clearly it had friends and you could tell that the hotel new about it because it seemed that the hole had been "patched" several times. It was absolutely disgusting! I told the front desk and she didn't seem too concerned about it. She just told me to call her manager. Our son has autism and he was very disturbed by this hotel. We could not get him to sleep because he was so scared of the voices coming from the walls. Not to mention, the pool was TINY and gross. My husband wouldn't even let our kids swim in it.

Great walking distancePosted May 29, 2016
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The staff was friendly and the hotel was in good shape. The room was spacious (king) and clean. The continental breakfast has eggs, coffee, cereal, and make your own waffles, all very good for a hotel. The part was the parking on site. There was a $7 fee for the night but it sure does beat trying to drive and find parking or paying on the street. The walk to downtown St.Augustine from the hotel was quick and easy. Definitely recommend this hotel if you want to an affordable hotel with good amenaties!

Stayed here with my family. Near all to see in St. Augustine, free parking, clean room, reasonable rate, breakfast included.

Very friendly at the front desk. The breakfast was delicious and you can make your own waffles. Very close walking distance to the historic gates of St. Augustine.
