Bugs crawling around woke up to car horns blowing and a roach on my face front desk people had no knowledge of area and 2 had bad attitudes building is dated and musty smelling

Our room had roaches. We complained to staff who suggested changing room but could not say whether the new room had complains of roaches. Left a day early due to roaches, noise and inconveniences.

Staff was unfriendly, morning and evening ladies, when I checked in I was told there were no rooms available in first floor, the evening woman requested an id in order to get a key. Unnecessary actions. I was told to wait for 30 minutes before she could find out if there was an available room. That wasn’t true. There were many people outside in the back, where they put me. I felt unsafe, but I know my life is in the hands of God. It looks like a ghetto back there. I would not like to stay there again. The poom was ok, no bugs and appeared to be clean but it wasn’t extra nice. The lobby carpet is very dirty, coffee is there , that’s good, the lobby furniture is not so pleasing to the eyes, unless you like the old worn leather look .

While the staff was very friendly, and it is very easy to get to the historic area of St Augustine, we didn’t sleep well, the beds are toooo firm, , my back is killing me, it’s like sleeping on the floor. And, while everything looked clean enough, I saw baby cockroaches in the bathroom 😩. I reported them to the housekeeper when we left.

Had to rekey twice, found that the door handle operated backwards. Had to pull it up to open the door. Also the door indicator light did not work. phone didn’t work, dog barking and a guy heaving up his guts outside first night. Oh, the TV remote was scary. Room was ok but dated. Had to unplug the tv to plug in the micro wave. Parking was great if you’re pulling a trailer. No continental breakfast, your on your own.

Typical motor lodge feeling. Room was very noisy with motorcycles etc coming in 1am-3pm. The AC is extremely noisy going in and off every 5 minutes all night. Bathroom dates and had tons of caulk around the tub, sink and flooring just to cover up old caulk instead of replacing. Only thing I can say is it was clean as far as linens and towels.

Did not like check in took way too long only one associate at desk. Also, asked for a first floor because my 80 year old mother was with me and was told there weren’t any. So we took the second floor it was hard for us getting up the stairs. Only to find the room key didn’t work. Went back to desk asked for a refund then they “magically “ had a first floor room available. Shady place

Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Needs a little maintenance though. Having a Denny’s restaurant in the hotel is very convenient. But the best feature is the location which is walking distance from the historic center. Excellent price!

The Denny's at the motel was short staffed and open/closed was unpredictable. The one meal we had there was terrible. As for as the motel itself we have no complaints, would definitely stay there again.

I had to constantly ask for new swipe keys. It was the lock that was not working right. But the front desk person kept on telling me it was my fault. I had it too close to something or other. It was in a separate pocket not anywhere near anything and they just DIDN‘T unlock the door. All 4 out of 5 keys. The cleaning person was very nice though and helpful. She helped me get into the room one time.

The rooms need upgrading; the 2 queen beds were really 2 standard (double) size beds; the beds were uncomfortable; the heater/AC unit is loud when used; didn't get the room made up one day even though the DND sign WAS NOT on the door; reception wouldn't answer the phone when calling for towels, coffee, etc. so went down to the lobby - no one in the lobby and clerk was playing or reading on her phone. The grounds were unkept with cigarette butts everywhere. Would not stay there again.

Stay away from this hotel. Extremely dirty, old and unsafe. I couldn't even walk without my shoes in the room, use the toilet or even take a nap, it was disgusting. I left the very same day of check in and lost all my money. I just couldn't sleep there.

Unsafe place to stay!!!
Dirty, and scary, no security guard esp being outside entry hotel. Thankfully I brought cleaning supplies, stayed here ONLY to see nights of lights. Had to keep going down to get key because would not work two days in a row. Door handle so loose: Few hanging out by the Dennys restaurant All night. People backed in with parking lights on. Went around 11 pm to get a snack from Dennys with my daughters and granddaughter filthy Dennys BTW, and went back to room, within two mins someone tried to yank the handle to our room. Just NOT. A safe place period!!!! Just be careful esp at night.
